<h2 class="h5">Job description</h2> <div class="t-break" data-jb-field="description"> <p>The Center for Interdisciplinary Data Science and AI (CIDSAI) at NYU Abu Dhabi is a cross‑disciplinary hub where mathematicians, computer scientists, engineers, and social scientists join forces to push the boundaries of data‑driven discovery.  Our mission is two‑fold: to advance fundamental theory in probability and machine learning, and to translate those breakthroughs into high‑impact tools that serve the UAE, the wider Arab world, and global society.</p><br><br> <p>We are seeking a Junior Research Scientist to join the team to work under the theme of Computational &amp; Interactive Health under the supervision of Dr. Farah Shamout &amp; Dr. Hanan Salam and in close collaboration with Prof. Nizar Habash. The researcher is expected to have strong machine learning &amp; AI skills and exemplary passion and motivation to pursue multidisciplinary research at the intersection of computing and healthcare. The Mubadala Arabian Center for Climate and Environmental Sciences (Mubadala ACCESS) at New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD) invites applications for a Junior Research Scientist to support a multidisciplinary research program investigating the environmental and ecological drivers of productive fishing grounds in the United Arab Emirates.<br><br>Working alongside researchers from NYUAD and Emirates Nature–WWF, the successful candidate will contribute to marine habitat mapping, spatial analysis, and environmental data integration to support fisheries management and marine conservation.<br><br>The Junior Research Scientist will support the acquisition, processing, and analysis of marine spatial and environmental datasets collected throughout the project. The Center for Brain and Health (CBH) at New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD) seeks to recruit a Junior Research Scientist to support innovative clinical and translational research on brain health and disease in diverse populations within the UAE and wider MENA region.<br><br>The successful applicant will play a central role in the day-to-day execution of human-subjects research studies, working within a multidisciplinary team of faculty investigators, research assistants, clinicians, and students. The position involves coordinating clinical and observational research protocols that integrate advanced neuroimaging, neuromonitoring, and behavioural methods, with a strong emphasis on regulatory compliance, participant safety, and high-quality data collection.<br><br>Key responsibilities include coordinating participant recruitment and workflow (pre-screening, informed consent, scheduling, and follow-up), maintaining regulatory and ethics documentation, liaising with clinical partners and imaging facilities, and overseeing clinical aspects of MRI, EEG, and MEG sessions.
