<p>Monitors and manages the performance of design consultants to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project scope and end-user requirements. Oversees senior discipline engineers, reviews and endorses design submissions and variations, coordinates timely approvals and permits, and provides technical support in collaboration with regional/home offices. Leads pre-qualification and tender activities, evaluates alternative design solutions, ensures proper document control, and reports to the client on design progress, concerns, and recommendations while maintaining compliance with organizational quality, safety, and environmental policies.</p>
<p>Based on the project site, monitor the performance of the design consultant to ensure the design correctness and completeness as well as compliance with the scope of work requirements.</p>
<p>Ensure that the design consultant(s) have considered the end user’s requirements as stated in the statement of requirement.</p>
<p>Control and manage the senior discipline engineers of the project management team in respect of design aspects.</p>
<p>Evaluate and endorse the variation orders/concession request submitted by the design consultant(s) for client's approval.</p>
<p>Attend all meetings with design consultant(s), its sub-consultants and client's meetings.</p>
<p>Review and comment on all drawings and documents submitted by the design consultant(s) and ensure the incorporation of all revisions on all documents.</p>
<p>Assist, monitor and ensure timely submittals of all documents from the design consultant(s) to all government departments until final necessary permits are obtained to proceed with the works to completion.</p>
<p>Coordinate with regional/home office for technical support required to ensure the correctness and completeness of the design.</p>
<p>Review and report to client all design consultant(s)’ monthly reports, including areas of concern and recommended plans of actions.</p>

<p>All project documents are controlled, recorded and filed as per contract requirements.</p>

<h4>Qualifications</h4>
<p><strong>Bachelor’s degree in architecture engineering (or similar) from a recognized university.</strong></p>
<p>Master degree is preferred but not essential.</p>
<p>Minimum of 15 years’ experience coupled with at least 5 years’ experience working in a design management position for a consultancy or design firm from inception to completion.</p>
<p>Excellent understanding of building and villas projects.</p>
<p>Understanding of contractor requirements – previous experience working for a contractor is preferred but not essential.</p>
<p>Familiar with processes of design, (space & functional analysis, operators/client liaison, cross-disciplinary issues/coordination, construction interfaces, programming, cost etc.).</p>

15 to 18+ years of experience in rail engineering and rail design consultancy.</span></span></p><br></li><li><p><span><span>Proven rail project experience in the UAE and/or Middle East, including
