Qualifications Strong Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) engineering skills, with applied experience in building systems design and coordination. Ideal candidate should be familiar with DEWA approval process & other similar authority's approvals. Installation, commissioning substations and handled High Voltage Industrial / commercial projects in the region. Proficiency in Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering principles, including load calculations, system selection, and equipment specification. Practical knowledge of Plumbing systems design and installation, including water supply, drainage, and fire protection. Demonstrated Project Management skills, including planning, scheduling, resource coordination, and stakeholder communication. Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering discipline; professional certifications or membership in engineering bodies are an advantage. Experience with relevant codes and standards, construction drawings, and common MEP software tools (e.g., Auto CAD, Revit, or similar). Ability to work on-site, manage multiple tasks, and collaborate effectively with contractors, consultants, and client representatives. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with attention to quality, safety, and timely project delivery. Job Summary:The MEP Engineer is responsible for planning, coordinating, supervising, and inspecting Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) works on building construction projects. You’ll be working as part of a team designing and building CubeSats and Small Spacecraft. As an engineer you will be asked to perform a variety of tasks related to the development of projects within the NSSTC including (but not limited to) support of the facilities development; test equipment development; and design, analysis, assembly, test, and verification/validation of performance of ground and space-based hardware and software. The ability to work with students at UAE University as a mentor is required. Travel may be required – both domestic and international. The position is located at the NSSTC facility in Al Ain.
