A Construction Manager – Civil is responsible for managing all civil construction activities in an electrical substation project (e.g., 33k V, 132k V, 220k V, or higher). Job Title: Quality Control Inspector – RM4 (HSM) Location: Musaffah, Abu Dhabi - UAEType: Contract<br>Role Purpose The Quality Control Inspector is responsible for conducting in-process, in-line, and final inspection activities within the Heavy Section Mill (HSM), with a specific focus on section and sheet pile production. The role ensures that all rolled steel sheet pile products meet internal quality standards, customer specifications, and applicable international steel manufacturing codes.<br>Key Responsibilities<br>In-Line & Final Product Inspection Conduct in-line inspection and classification of rolled products against defined quality standards Identify, segregate, and report non-conforming materials to prevent further processing Perform final inspections of finished products where required<br>Sampling & Testing Support Collect product samples at defined intervals for laboratory testing Perform dimensional checks, surface inspection, and verify chemical analysis results (especially billets) Support defect identification and assist in root cause analysis<br>Re-Inspection & Release Re-inspect held materials after corrective actions or retesting Record inspection results, calculate defects, and prepare inspection reports Support material classification and release decisions in SAP<br>SAP & Documentation Enter inspection results and make usage decisions in SAPMaintain accurate inspection records and prepare quality reports for management review<br>Quality Systems & Compliance Ensure adherence to IMS, ISO standards, ASME codes, and internal quality procedures Support implementation of quality systems and work instructions across operations Ensure proper identification, segregation, and reporting of non-conforming products<br>Safety & Operational Support Comply with all EHS policies and actively support a strong safety culture Participate in safety initiatives, audits, and housekeeping (5S) activities Follow instructions for deployment across mills as per operational needs<br>Communication & Reporting Report quality deviations and production issues to supervisors and relevant departments Prepare ad-hoc and routine quality reports as required<br>Qualifications & Experience Diploma in Metallurgy, Mechanical Engineering, or Science Graduate2–5 years of experience in quality inspection within an integrated steel plant Strong knowledge of heavy section mill (sheet pile and sections) Familiarity with steel defects, production processes, and quality standards SAP knowledge and basic computer skills required
