The role collaborates with architects, contractors, consultants, project managers, operations teams, and other stakeholders to coordinate engineering activities, resolve technical issues, and ensure compliance with design specifications, regulatory requirements, environmental standards, and workplace health and safety policies. The position also supports preventive maintenance, asset management, process improvement, and continuous optimization initiatives by evaluating equipment performance, infrastructure conditions, and operational efficiency. It contributes to technical reporting, risk assessments, engineering documentation, and the evaluation of new technologies and engineering best practices to enhance project outcomes and organizational performance. Qualifications Strong understanding of mechanical engineering and/or civil engineering principles, engineering design, construction methodologies, project management, structural and mechanical systems, engineering analysis, and quality assurance. Ability to develop safe, efficient, and practical engineering solutions. Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software, engineering analysis tools, spreadsheet applications, project management software, and technical documentation systems. Familiarity with Building Information Modeling (BIM), finite element analysis (FEA), enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, and engineering simulation tools is an advantage. Knowledge of engineering standards, construction regulations, materials engineering, risk assessment, occupational health and safety requirements, environmental compliance, quality management systems, preventive maintenance, and contractor management practices. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate engineering data, investigate technical issues, perform root cause analysis, optimize designs, and implement effective engineering solutions. <p>Our Main Contracting Client has a new requirement for a number of well experienced QA QC Engineer to join their team in Dubai to work on high profile new high rise towers and new build villa masterplan projects. Successful candidates will have a proven background as a Civil QA QC Engineer working on high profile projects in the UAE with prior experience in working for recognised Main Contracting Companies This role is available for immediate joining and is hiring on a temporary to permanent basis as an initial 6 month contract position, outsourced through J10 Consulting, with the option to transfer to staff after 6 months to suit all parties. Key Responsibilities: • Accountable for the quality and workmanship of every activity, precise knowledge of all aspects of engineering construction relating to Civil, Architectural and Structural discipline interfacing the multidisciplinary processes. • Responsible for QA/QC documents of the complete project including certificates, calibration, test results, inspection requests, non-compliance reports and site instruction/observations, permanent materials delivered and other important QA/QC documents. • Develop and determine all standards to perform inspection and tests on all procedures and oversee all testing methods and maintain high standards of quality for all processes. • Review quality of all materials at the site and ensure compliance with all project specifications and quality and collaborate with the department for all material procurement and maintain a quality of materials. • Supervise the effective implementation of all test and inspection schedules and ensure adherence to all procedures and coordinate with various teams to perform quality audits on processes. • Assist with employees to ensure knowledge of all quality standards and ensure compliance to all quality manual and procedures and collaborate with contractors and suppliers to maintain the quality of all systems. • Manage to lift of all types of equipment and handle the efficient storage of all hazardous materials and perform quality audits as per required schedule. • Analyze all products and non-conformance processes and evaluate all documents to ensure the maintenance of optimal quality and prepare monthly reports to evaluate performance. • Monitor an efficient system and record for all project activities and analyze all processes to ensure all work according to quality requirements. • Manage all work methods and maintain knowledge on all quality assurance standards and monitor continuous application for all quality assurance processes and recommend corrective actions for all processes. • Develop a method statement for the activity including risk assessment and job safety environmental analysis and Inspection Test Plan and Checklist based on specifications of the project. • Liaise the Technical Engineer for submission of material submittals to Consultant • Coordinate with the consultant's representative and Site In-charge for inspection. • Report to the Project Manager. • Able to Supervise Site Projects and Give Report on Site Work and Progress. • Able to manage and handle direct relationship with Consultants in relation to WIR and MIR</p><p>QA/QC Engineer Experience: • Degree or diploma in Civil Engineering or related • Candidates should have minimum 5 years experience in QA/QC Engineer, at least 2 with a main contracting company in the UAE. • Previous experience on high rise towers and / or large scale villa masterplan projects would be highly advantageous • Experience of liaising with and closing out WIR and MIR reports with leading PMC or Consultancy companies • Technically sound, Strategic planning skills, Analytical and extremely detail-oriented • Excellent time-management skills, with the ability to adjust quickly, should there be changes in work priorities. • Excellent communication skills in both verbal and written English.</p>
