The role oversees equipment maintenance, generator performance, fuel consumption, and coordination of plant resources across project sites.<br><br>Key Responsibilities<br><br>Manage and monitor construction plant, equipment, generators, and site vehicles to ensure availability and operational efficiency. Oversee site generator operations, diesel consumption, fuel supply, and refueling activities to ensure continuous power availability. Monitor fuel usage, maintain diesel consumption records, and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and control costs. Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance activities for generators, heavy equipment, and site machinery. Ensure proper allocation, mobilization, and utilization of plant and equipment across projects. Maintain equipment records, service schedules, breakdown reports, and utilization reports. Coordinate with site teams, workshop personnel, suppliers, and subcontractors for maintenance and equipment support. Ensure compliance with company procedures, HSE requirements, and equipment inspection standards. Support equipment planning, rental requirements, and technical evaluation of plant resources.<br><br>Qualifications<br><br>Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related discipline. Minimum 8 years of experience in PMV operations within UAE construction projects. Experience managing construction generators, diesel fuel management, and site power requirements. Experience with heavy equipment, plant maintenance, and fleet operations. Holding UAE Driving License. Fluency in both Arabic and English (written and spoken) is required due to the nature of the role, which involves regular communication, documentation, and transactions with Arabic-speaking stakeholders and authorities. They will be tasked with solving complex Operations-related problems and will work independently with minimal guidance. The Principal Operations Engineer may be responsible for leading functional teams or projects and are regarded as a specialist in the field of Operations.
