Job Description<br><br>About Wynn Al Marjan Island:<br><br>Wynn Al Marjan Island will be the first integrated resort in the UAE. Set to open in 2027, the resort will be located 50 miles from Dubai International Airport in the emirate of Ras Al Khaimah. The resort will offer 1,530 rooms and suites, 22 restaurants, lounges, and bars, a theater, and a beach club. It will feature multiple swimming and wading pools, a five-star spa, a salon, a shopping promenade, and a celebrations and events center.<br><br>About The Position<br><br>Wynn Al Marjan Island is currently seeking an Assistant Manager – Public Area to join the resort’s hotel Public Area team.<br><br>Responsibilities<br><br>The primary duties and responsibilities of this role are:<br><br> To champion Wynn Al Marjan Island’s values and objectives such as Colleague Engagement Survey and FORBES 5 Star Classification. Ensure the daily cleaning and maintenance of all public areas is carried out in a timely and efficient manner and as per resort standard procedures. Ensure the night cleaning of all areas is carried out according to resort standards. Ensure all colleagues attend duty in a proper uniform, on time, and well groomed. Hold daily briefing with the team ensuring everyone has all the updated and correct information to carry out their duties. Assist the Manager with the daily operations of the Public Area Department. Implement and monitor cleaning and maintenance programs in all public areas and throughout the hotel and gaming areas. Conduct daily inspections of the daily upkeep and maintenance of public areas, including gaming areas, restrooms, shopping arcade, banquet rooms, lobbies, guest hallways, pool, porte cochere, exterior and offices. Monitor and lead special projects, including periodic deep cleaning, painting, chandelier cleaning, carpet shampooing and marble restoration. Liaise with the Manager and Property Operations Department to resolve maintenance requests, issues and complaints. Monitor quality control mechanisms for Public Areas, including health and safety, cleaning and maintenance, service standards, staff grooming, use of cleaning chemicals and equipment handling. Monitor inventory levels of cleaning chemicals and tools and maintain adequate stock levels according to operational needs. Arrange repairs and maintenance checks of cleaning equipment to maximize efficiency and productivity. Coordinate with Supervisors and Coordinator to schedule changes and make adjustments. Assist Manager to carry out Public Area administration and paperwork. Coordinate, prepare and report operating expenses, payroll budgets and updates on capital improvements for Manager’s approval. Accept any other duties and responsibilities assigned by the Public Area Manager and assume responsibilities in the Manager’s absence. Coordinate with relevant departments to satisfy guests’ requests and continuously improve health and safety standards. Respond to guests’ requests, investigate and handle complaints promptly and to their satisfaction. Execute corrective action if necessary and ensure follow-through if no immediate solution can be found. Provide feedback to guests’ recommendations, share their ideas with staff and management Analyze and approve rosters, vacations and breaks and ensure manpower meets business demands. Monitor Team Members’ attendance and analyse and approve overtime/undertime records Monitor departmental training plans. Supervise and lead the team to achieve department goals. Attend and participate in regular briefings and disseminate relevant information to the team. Hire, train, supervise, and manage Public Area staff. Coach, motivate, counsel and evaluate staff and encourage their participation in decision-making. Test and correct any deviations from procedures swiftly through on the job training. Assess adherence to standards and arrange training sessions and refresher courses for staff in coordination with the Manager and Trainer. Maintain effective communication with all Team Members by providing written and verbal translations. Monitor Team Members’ manners and grooming according to Company standards. Interact with Department and Company Team Members, management, and contractors professionally and positively. Attend Department and inter-Department meetings and share relevant information. Ensure employees and managers experience a joined-up service model even when multiple People teams are involved. Clarify roles and interfaces across Help Desk, People Relations, Payroll, Rewards, Mobility, People Partners, CoEs, and other specialist teams. <br><br>Build Tier 0 / self-service and knowledge management foundations<br><br>Develop and execute Agoda’s roadmap for Tier 0 / self-service, moving the organization toward more proactive, intuitive, and self-directed resolution of common People queries. Lead ongoing improvements in workflows, playbooks, standard responses, training, quality assurance, and reporting. Partner with People Service Excellence and other stakeholders to simplify processes, remove friction, and improve end-to-end employee and manager experiences. Typically, 10+ years of relevant experience across HR shared services, employee services, People operations, employee relations, HRBP, service delivery, or related functions, including significant leadership experience. Demonstrated experience leading managers and/or multiple service teams in a complex, matrixed, and fast-paced environment. Strong experience running a service or support function with clear accountability for quality, responsiveness, service design, and stakeholder experience. Strong understanding of multi-tier service delivery models, including Tier 0 / self-service, Tier 1 support, and specialist / Tier 2 case management. Depending on answer(s) received, determine whether answer is to be provided only to the company raising queries, or to all companies invited as an update to earlier scope information. <br>• Receive, participate/review and compile EOI / Prequalification response from invited companies, prepare a standard correspondence memorandum for forwarding received information and documents to End User for review or evaluation. <br>• Review End User response to EOI / Prequalification exercise, due diligence check that response aligns with information / documents received, with no anomalies – arithmetically check any prequalification evaluation scoring. <br>• Receive End User Contract Request (CR) through SAP Ariba (as allocated by CDM), reviews content of CR against previously established checklist of items informed to End User as to information / documents to be submitted with CR and determine whether:- 1) the CR is accepted as being complete for Tender purposes, or 2) CR is to be rejected due to being incomplete (formally confirm to CDM / CDVP to reject in SAP Ariba).<br>• Prepare write-up listing CR missing information and documents to be submitted by End User; CDM to review and issue when rejecting submitted CR. </p><br><br><br>Job Specific Accountabilities2 <br><p>• Receive End User updated Contract Request (CR) through SAP Ariba (as allocated by CDM) and as earlier, review content of updated CR against previously established checklist of items informed to End User, so as to confirm to CDM / CDVP that CR can be accepted as complete for Tender purposes.<br>• Prepare Contract Development Plan for the Tender and Award of Services / Works upon receipt of complete & acceptable CR, in co-ordination with CDM and in agreement with End User.<br>• Prepare Recommendation for Bidders List and Tender Strategy for approval by Management / Tender Board as per the Delegation of Authority.<br>• Determine in co-ordination with CDM the applicable Request for Tender (RFT) document to be selected from the General Procurement Initiative (GPI) suite of standard template RFTs and thereafter, using a Contracts Division checklist commence preparing and compiling the RFT from the CR documents for subsequent review by CDM and amendment as necessary. <br>• Upon receipt of approval of the Bidders List and Tender Strategy, prepares standard correspondence Bid invitation within SAP Ariba system, for review / endorsement by CDM, followed by review and issue by CDVP, with Bid document attached. Ensures Bidders formally confirm receipt of Bid document. <br>• Review and endorse standard memorandum (to be review and issued by CDM) for forwarding RFT document to End User for review and reference during the Bid Period.<br>• Following issue of the RFT and prior to the Bid submittal date, to co-ordinate, handle, arrange, prepare and formally in writing record for transparency and audit purposes the following activities: </p><br><p>a) Receive Bidders’ request for Letter of Assistance (as applicable), review and endorse standard memorandum to Human Capital & Administration (HC&A) requesting Letters, receive Letters from HC&A and review and endorse standard letter informing Bidders to collect and process security passes for the forthcoming site visit.</p><br><p>b) Follow Contracts Division checklist to co-ordinate and arrange with End User a Bid Clarification Meeting and Site Visit, together with inform Bidders of the arrangements and procedures to follow. Attends Bid Clarification Meeting and Site Visit. </p><br><p>c) Receive Bidder queries through the SAP Ariba system, segregate as to who provides an answer (i.e. End User, Procurement, Legal, Finance, etc.) and obtain formal written answers to queries raised. Depending on answer(s) received, determine whether answer is to be provided only to company raising the query, or more likely, to be issued to all Bidders as a Bid Bulletin through SAP Ariba so as to update the RFT as required, including obtaining Bidder confirmation of receipt. <br>• Receive and open Technical and Unpriced Commercial Bids in SAP Ariba. </p><br><p>• Co-ordinate, handle, arrange, prepare and formally in writing record during the End User Technical Team Evaluation of Bids and prior to the Commercial Bid Evaluation, for transparency and audit purposes the following activities: <br>a) Receive, co-ordinate and consolidate End User requested Bid clarifications / queries, prepare individual Bid Clarification standard correspondence to each Bidder, including receiving and processing Bidders’ response to End User, or other Business Units. </p><br><br><br>Job Specific Accountabilities3 <br><p>b) If applicable, receive and co-ordinate End User request for a Bid Clarification Meeting or visit to Bidder’s Facility, including formally documenting Meeting / Site Visit arrangements, together with receiving and forwarding to End User any additional Bidder information submitted. All associated correspondence to Bidders or End User. <br>• Receive Technical Evaluation Report issued by End User Unit Manager, review Report and carry-out “Due diligence checks” as per Contracts Division Checklist, if corrections, shortfalls or anomalies are found, prepares standard correspondence memorandum to End User highlighting said matters, in order for End User to correct / revise the Technical Evaluation Report. <br>• Arrange Commercial Bid Meetings with Bidders, review standard correspondence letters formally confirming meeting time, date, location, procedures, etc.<br>• Prepare Recommendation for Award of Services / Works for approval by Management / Tender Board as per the Delegation of Authority.<br>• Prepare Letter of Award (LOA) as per standard correspondence template registers Contract in SAP to obtain Contract Number, upon receipt of Award approval, forward LOAs for ADNOC delegated signature and then arranges for Contractor’s collection and confirmation of receipt.<br>• Upon return of 1No. fully signed Letter of Award (LOA) from Contractor, review and check that LOA is correctly executed, review and endorse standard correspondence memorandum distributing LOA to End User and Finance; CDM to review and issue memorandum. <br>• Prepare Contract Document (in co-ordination with End User as necessary) through consolidating Tender Bulletins, Bidder’s Technical Bid submittal and Bidder’s replies to Tender Clarifications into the original RFT document, using Contracts Division Checklist guidelines, for review and checking by CDM. <br>• Review End User Unit Manager’s concurrence (or comments) and update Contract, if comments are technically correct and / or contractually acceptable. Arrange for 2No. original Contracts to be printed, then page checks and initials each page of both Contracts. Review / endorse standard correspondence letter issuing Contracts to Contractor for signature; CDM to review and issue letter if award has previously been confirmed by a Letter of Award, otherwise letter issuing Contracts will need to be signed by ADNOC’s delegated signatory.<br>• Review Contractor’s 2No. signed original Contract documents against Contracts Division checklist to ensure Contracts have been correctly executed by Contractor. Arrange for internal circulation for ADNOC signature as per Delegation of Authority and thereafter: <br>a) Review / endorse standard letter issuing 1No. fully signed Contract to Contractor; CDM to review and issue letter. Obtain contractor confirmation of receipt of Contract.<br>b) Review / endorse standard regret letter informing unsuccessful Bidders of the close of the Bid process.<br>• Prepare and follow Contracts Division Checklist of items to be raised / addressed with End User’s Contracts Administrator prior to the Kick-off meeting with the appointed Contractor, together with those items to be raised / addressed to the appointed Contractor by the Contracts Administrator during the Kick-off Meeting. Together, these teams play a critical role in how employees and managers experience the People function day to day: through clear guidance, responsive support, effective issue resolution, and trusted handling of sensitive people matters.<br><br>Opportunity<br><br>We are looking for an Associate Director, Head of People Services & Help Desk to lead Agoda’s employee-facing People service delivery model across People Help Desk / Tier 1 support, Tier 0 / self-service foundations, and Global People Relations Services.<br><br>This is a key leadership role within People Experience and Services, responsible for shaping how employees and managers access support across a wide range of People topics — from day-to-day HR questions and lifecycle support to more complex and sensitive employee matters requiring specialist intervention.<br><br>In this role, you will lead the teams responsible for:<br><br>People Help Desk / Tier 1 services Tier 0 / self-service and knowledge foundations Global People Relations Services, including case governance and specialist support for complex employee relations matters <br><br>You will own the effectiveness of Agoda’s People support model from the employee and manager perspective, ensuring it is clear, trusted, scalable, and increasingly insight-driven. This includes strengthening service standards, improving routing and handoffs across teams, enabling greater self-service, and ensuring sensitive employee matters are handled with appropriate quality, consistency, and governance.<br><br>This role is ideal for a leader who combines strong service delivery and operational leadership with sound judgment, systems thinking, and the ability to build a modern, scalable People support model in a global, fast-moving organization.<br><br>This position is based in Bangkok. Please note that we are not open to remote work or the possibility of being based in other locations.<br><br>What You’ll Do<br><br>Lead Agoda’s People Services front door and employee support model<br><br>Lead Agoda’s employee-facing People Services model across Tier 1 Help Desk support, Tier 0 self-service, and the interface into specialist support teams. Define and evolve how employees and managers access support across People topics, ensuring a clear, seamless, and trusted experience. Establish strong service principles, operating rhythms, and leadership across the teams responsible for day-to-day People support and complex employee issue resolution. Ensure Agoda’s People support model scales effectively with organizational growth, complexity, and global reach. <br><br>Lead the People Services & Help Desk team<br><br>Lead, manage, and develop the People Services & Help Desk team to deliver high-quality, consistent, and empathetic Tier 1 support across core HR topics such as policies, processes, employee data, benefits, onboarding, leaves, mobility, and general employee lifecycle support. Set service standards, KPIs, quality expectations, and operating controls to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant case handling. Build a strong service culture with clear accountability for employee experience, right-first-time resolution, responsiveness, and professionalism. Oversee workforce planning, capacity management, and prioritization across service demand, seasonal peaks, and new People initiatives. <br><br>Lead Global People Relations Services<br><br>Lead the Global People Relations Services team, ensuring high-quality and well-governed support across complex employee matters such as performance concerns, misconduct, grievances, investigations, disciplinary actions, involuntary exits, and employee matters arising from organizational change. Ensure clear service ownership, escalation pathways, and governance across People Relations case handling. Partner closely with HR Business Partners, Legal, Compliance, and other relevant stakeholders to ensure people relations matters are handled fairly, consistently, pragmatically, and in line with internal policies and local legal requirements. Drive high standards in case management, documentation, risk identification, and decision quality across the People Relations team. Use case trends and themes to inform improvements in manager guidance, policy design, service processes, and broader practices. <br><br>Own the operating interfaces across Tier 1, People Relations, and specialist teams<br><br>Serve as the senior operational owner for how work flows between Help Desk / Tier 1, People Relations Services, and other Tier 2 / specialist teams across the People organization. Define and continuously improve routing logic, escalation models, intake criteria, handoffs, service ownership, and resolution pathways. Ensure employees and managers experience a joined-up service model even when multiple People teams are involved. Clarify roles and interfaces across Help Desk, People Relations, Payroll, Rewards, Mobility, People Partners, CoEs, and other specialist teams. <br><br>Build Tier 0 / self-service and knowledge management foundations<br><br>Develop and execute Agoda’s roadmap for Tier 0 / self-service, moving the organization toward more proactive, intuitive, and self-directed resolution of common People queries. Own and strengthen the People knowledge ecosystem, including FAQs, help content, decision trees, agent guidance, and employee-facing support materials. Partner with policy owners and People SMEs to simplify complex topics into clear, scalable, and user-friendly content. Drive case deflection, knowledge reuse, content governance, and self-service adoption through disciplined measurement and continuous improvement. <br><br>Enable digital, conversational, and AI-supported service delivery<br><br>Partner with Product, Tech, Systems, and Data teams to improve People support platforms, workflows, and user journeys across self-service and case management. Identify and help shape practical use cases for conversational and agentic AI within People Services, ensuring they enhance employee experience and complement human support. Provide leadership input into the design, testing, rollout, and continuous refinement of AI-enabled and digital service solutions. Ensure appropriate controls, privacy, escalation paths, and trust mechanisms are in place for all digital and AI-supported support channels. <br><br>Drive operational excellence and continuous improvement<br><br>Monitor and improve key service performance metrics across Help Desk and People Relations Services, such as case volume, first contact resolution, time to resolution, service quality, customer satisfaction, escalation rates, re-open rates, and self-service deflection. Lead ongoing improvements in workflows, playbooks, standard responses, training, quality assurance, and reporting. Partner with People Service Excellence and other stakeholders to simplify processes, remove friction, and improve end-to-end employee and manager experiences. Ensure effective controls, compliance, documentation standards, and data privacy practices are embedded across service operations. <br><br>Lead through insight, stakeholder partnership, and change<br><br>Act as the senior People Services contact for service performance, priorities, risks, and transformation opportunities. Provide regular insight and reporting to People leaders on service trends, root causes, organizational pain points, and improvement opportunities. Partner with Communications and relevant People teams to coordinate messaging around policy changes, process updates, and new tools or services. Support broader People transformation by bringing an employee-service lens to operating model design, simplification, and capability building across the function. <br><br>What You’ll Need To Succeed<br><br>Bachelor’s degree in business, Human Resources, Operations, Law, Psychology, or a related field; advanced degree is a plus. Typically, 10+ years of relevant experience across HR shared services, employee services, People operations, employee relations, HRBP, service delivery, or related functions, including significant leadership experience. Demonstrated experience leading managers and/or multiple service teams in a complex, matrixed, and fast-paced environment. Strong experience running a service or support function with clear accountability for quality, responsiveness, service design, and stakeholder experience. Strong understanding of multi-tier service delivery models, including Tier 0 / self-service, Tier 1 support, and specialist / Tier 2 case management. Meaningful exposure to employee relations or complex people issue resolution, with sound judgment on sensitive matters and a strong appreciation for governance, risk, and consistency. Strong skills in service design, operating model improvement, process improvement, and cross-functional workflow design. Experience with HR technology platforms and service tools such as HRIS, case management systems, knowledge bases, and digital support tools. Demonstrated ability to use data and analytics to monitor performance, identify themes and root causes, and drive prioritization and decision-making. Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and influence across leaders, specialist teams, and cross-functional partners. Strong people leadership capability, including coaching leaders and managers, building team capability, and creating a high-performance, service-oriented culture. Comfort operating in a global, evolving, and ambiguous environment, with a strong bias for execution, improvement, and scale. <br><br>It’s great if you also have<br><br>Experience in a global or regional HR shared services / People services environment.
