<section><p class="heading jdMain">Job Description</p><p class="heading">Roles &amp; Responsibilities</p><div class="paragraph"><p><strong>Specific Responsibilities for this Role</strong></p><ul><li><p>Care for women during prenatal, natal and post-natal periods.</p></li><li><p>Monitor patient’s condition and progress and re-evaluate treatments as necessary.</p></li><li><p>Perform Cesarean sections or other surgical procedures as needed to preserve patients’ health &amp; deliver babies safely.</p></li><li><p>Interview new patients to assess their symptoms, needs, or problems; record and utilize their medical history for diagnosis</p></li><li><p>Perform well-women exams that include pap smears, pelvic, and breast exams</p></li><li><p>Conduct follow-ups with patients to monitor and track their condition</p></li><li><p>Order and analyse necessary tests, screenings, biopsies, scans, etc. to effectively diagnose a problem</p></li><li><p>Direct, advise, and supervise medical staff including nurses, physician assistants, med techs etc. on proper procedures and protocol</p></li><li><p>Treat diseases and injuries of a woman’s reproductive organ and prescribe postnatal and prenatal care</p></li><li><p>Explain procedures and discuss test results or prescribed treatments as necessary.</p></li><li><p>Maintain record of the patient including present/past/family history prior to diagnosing or treating the case.</p></li><li><p>provide prenatal care for women and their babies before birth</p></li><li><p>They are the ones who prescribe the right drug, compresses and antibiotics that should be taken by the patient.</p></li><li><p>Obstetrician and Gynaecologist are the ones who make the plans and procedures in every operation. All staff are required to read and implement the NMC PCI Policy and Strategy in an effort to maintain the highest possible standards of cleanliness at all times, thus reducing the risk of infection in patients, staff and visitors.</p></li><li><p>The strictest hand hygiene, 5 moments of hand hygiene, bare below the elbows and environmental care, will be expected of all staff, including the post holder, at all times.</p></li></ul></div></section><section><p class="heading">Desired Candidate Profile</p><p class="paragraph"></p><ul><li><p>Qualified and licensed Medical Practitioner</p></li><li><p>At least 5 years’ post qualification experience at consultant level (independent of country)</p></li><li><p>At least 1 year Consultant level experience from a Tier 1 country as specified by the UAE healthcare regulator.</p></li><li><p>Basic medical degree and completion of higher education programme (fellowship/diploma) recognised by the relevant UAE healthcare authority.</p></li><li><p>Certification and registration in a speciality recognised by relevant UAE healthcare authority.</p></li><li><p>Active and valid life support certification (e.g. BLS, ACLS, PALS, ATLS, NRP)</p></li></ul><p></p></section>
