Job Title: Planning Engineer - UAE National only Sector: Rail / Metro – Communications & Control Systems Location: Dubai, United Arab Emirates Department: Bid & Project Management Job Summary<br><br>The Planning Engineer is responsible for planning and scheduling activities for assigned bids, projects, or programs against an approved baseline (Performance Measurement Baseline – PMB). The role ensures effective monitoring and control of tasks, deliverables, schedule risks, workload, and costs.<br><br>The Planning Engineer must have strong expertise in project management structures and baselines (WBS, OBS, RAM, WPDDs, PMB), scheduling techniques (PERT, Critical Path), and Schedule Risk Analysis (SRA). The role also supports claims-related activities including Extension of Time (EOT) and delay analysis, and performs basic Earned Value tracking and variance analysis to support corrective actions.<br><br>Key Responsibilities<br><br>Develop the contract programme using contract documents, WBS structures, cost and resource loading, and relevant project inputs. They will be tasked with solving complex process engineering-related problems and will work independently with minimal guidance. The Principal Process Engineer may be responsible for leading functional teams or projects and is regarded as a specialist in the field of process engineering.
