We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to oversee day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, month-end and year-end closing, and compliance activities. <br>Key Responsibilities<br>Manage day-to-day accounting activities, including general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. Perform bank, supplier, customer, and general ledger reconciliations. Manage month-end and year-end closing activities. Monitor and maintain accurate financial records and documentation. Prepare and review journal entries and accounting schedules. Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, company policies, and UAE regulations. Coordinate with auditors and provide the required financial documentation. Identify discrepancies and recommend improvements to accounting processes. Support management with financial reports and analysis when required. Managing and leading a team of three accountants, including task allocation, performance management, and ensuring timely and accurate completion of accounting activities. <br> Requirements & Qualifications:<br>Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Proven 8+ years of relevant accounting experience. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting. Experience with VAT and UAE Tax regulations is preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting/ERP systems (such as ERPNext, Odoo, and SAP(Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines. Professional communication skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Proven practical experience in implementing the UAE ICV Program, including ICV certification requirements, supplier assessments, ICV score calculation, supporting documentation, and integration of ICV requirements into government and semi-government procurement and tendering processes. Arabic Speaking is a must.
