About the Firm
Our client is a well-established, independently owned External Asset Manager headquartered in the DIFC, with a long-standing track record of serving high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth families across the GCC, wider MENA region, and international markets. The firm operates on an open-architecture, multi-custodian model, giving clients access to a broad universe of investment products and banking partners while preserving true independence of advice. Backed by a stable ownership structure, a strong regulatory standing, and a senior team drawn from leading global private banks, the firm has built a reputation for discretion, continuity, and long-term client relationships spanning generations.
The Opportunity The firm is looking to hire a Senior Private Banker / Relationship Manager who can bring and transition a portable book of business of at least USD 100 million in client assets. This is a rare opportunity for an established banker to move into an independent, entrepreneurial platform that offers greater economics, product flexibility, and client-first positioning than a traditional bank, while retaining the infrastructure, compliance support, and multi-custodian access needed to service a sophisticated HNW/UHNW client base.
Key Responsibilities Transition and onboard an existing portable book of USD 100 million or more in client assets under management, ensuring a smooth and compliant transfer of relationships. Act as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of HNW/UHNW individuals and families, delivering holistic wealth management advice across investments, credit, structuring, and estate planning needs. Grow assets under management through deepening existing client relationships and generating new business via referrals and personal network. Work with the firm's investment advisory, product, and structuring specialists to build tailored, multi-custodian portfolio solutions aligned to each client's risk profile and objectives. Maintain a strong understanding of global markets, asset classes, and alternative investments to provide clients with informed, independent advice. Ensure full adherence to DFSA regulatory requirements, KYC/AML standards, and the firm's internal risk and compliance policies at all times. Represent the firm professionally in the market, contributing to its reputation for discretion, integrity, and long-term client stewardship.
Candidate Profile A portable book of business of USD 100 million or more in client AUM, with demonstrable client loyalty and a track record of retention. A minimum of 8–12 years' experience in private banking, wealth management, or relationship management, ideally gained at a leading international private bank, EAM, or family office. Existing, well-established relationships with HNW/UHNW clients across the GCC and/or broader MENA region. Strong technical knowledge across investment products, credit solutions, and wealth structuring, with the ability to advise across a full balance sheet. A track record of achieving or exceeding AUM growth and revenue targets.
What's on Offer A competitive fixed base salary complemented by a highly attractive, transparent payout structure on managed assets and revenue — materially more favourable than typical bank economics. The role offers genuine autonomy, an open-architecture product shelf, full operational and compliance support, and a clear path to equity or partnership for bankers who demonstrate sustained performance. Exact terms are structured individually and are negotiable based on the size and quality of the book being transitioned.
This mandate is being handled on a confidential and retained basis. All enquiries and applications will be treated with strict discretion.
