Location: North America Remote/SF-Hybrid

Full-Time

About Andromeda

Andromeda Cluster was founded by Nat Friedman and Daniel Gross to give early-stage startups access to the kind of scaled AI infrastructure once reserved only for hyperscalers.

We began with a single managed cluster — but it filled almost instantly. Since then, we’ve been quietly building the systems, network, and orchestration layer that makes the world’s AI infrastructure more accessible.

Today, Andromeda works with leading AI labs, data centers, and cloud providers to deliver compute when and where it’s needed most. Our platform routes training and inference jobs across global supply, unlocking flexibility and efficiency in one of the fastest-growing markets on earth.

Our long-term vision is to build the liquidity layer for global AI compute. We are expanding to new frontiers to find the brightest that work in AI infrastructure, research and engineering.

The Role

This is not a generalist SRE role, and it is not a support role. You will embed directly with the teams running large-scale training and inference on our clusters. You are responsible for onboarding them, tuning their jobs, and debugging their failures alongside them, while owning the infrastructure and automation that makes those clusters reliable in the first place.

Forward deployed means you spend real time inside customer environments: reading their training code, sitting in their Slack channels, watching their runs, and shipping fixes that land in our platform. When a multi-hundred-GPU run stalls, you are the person who figures out whether it's the fabric, the driver, the scheduler, or their dataloader, then you make sure it can't happen the same way twice.

We're looking for engineers who have personally run GPU clusters in production, understand the failure modes of distributed training, and can reason about performance from network fabric → kernel → framework. Equally important: you can explain what you found to someone else's engineering team without condescension, and turn that conversation into a product improvement.

What You’ll Do

Serve as the primary technical point of contact for teams running large-scale training and inference workloads. Own onboarding end to end; environment setup, orchestration choice (Slurm, Kubernetes, or direct SSH), storage layout, first successful run at scale. You will continue to stay engaged as their workloads grow. Work inside customer environments to diagnose real failures: NCCL timeouts, stragglers, checkpoint I/O stalls, degraded links, OOM patterns, container and driver mismatches. Read their code when you need to. Reproduce, isolate, fix, and write it down. Profile and improve distributed training performance on live workloads. Improving MFU, cutting idle GPU time, and reducing time-to-first-successful-run for new deployments. Own reliability outcomes for the accounts you're deployed on. Ensure the health and performance of high-speed interconnects (Infini Band, RoCE, NVLink) that underpin distributed training. Diagnose and resolve fabric-level issues that degrade collective operations. Build deep visibility into GPU utilization, memory pressure, interconnect throughput, job performance, and hardware health. Turn every repeated deployment problem into automation: cluster provisioning, GPU health checks and burn-in, preflight validation, self-healing, firmware/driver lifecycle management, and reusable reference configurations for common training and serving stacks. Lead incident response for complex, multi-layer failures spanning hardware, networking, orchestration, and ML frameworks. Own the customer-facing communication during the incident and the blameless postmortem and systemic fix after it. You will see our rough edges before anyone else does. Bring that signal back to influence the roadmap, file the hard bugs, and build the missing pieces yourself when that's the fastest path.

What We’re Looking For

Hands-on experience operating GPU clusters in production (NVIDIA A100/H100/H200/B200 or equivalent). You understand GPU memory hierarchies, ECC behavior, thermal throttling, and hardware failure modes from direct experience. Production experience with Infini Band, RoCE, or NVLink fabrics in the context of distributed training. You can diagnose why an all-reduce is slow, identify a degraded link in a fat-tree topology, and reason about congestion control at scale. Working knowledge of how large training and inference jobs actually run. You don't need to design models, but you need to understand what's happening at the systems level when a large run stalls. Expert-level Linux experience: kernel tuning, driver management (NVIDIA drivers, CUDA toolkit), cgroup/namespace internals, container runtimes, and performance profiling at the syscall and hardware level. Strong experience running Kubernetes in production with GPU workloads. Experience with device plugins, topology-aware scheduling, multi-cluster, custom operators. Location: Remote/SF-Hybrid

The Role

We're hiring our first Solutions Architect to own the technical side of our largest customer engagements. You will be the technical face of Andromeda to frontier labs and enterprises evaluating Andromeda to train and serve their models, as well as the advocate for those customers after they sign.

You'll own your accounts end-to-end. You run the technical discovery and the POC that wins the deal, then you're the person who lands the cluster, gets the first real training run through it, and stays the technical owner as the account grows. No handoff to a stranger at signature. The architecture you promised in the evaluation is the architecture you're accountable for in production.

You are the person in the room who can go from a CTO's roadmap to an interconnect topology without losing either audience.

This is greenfield. There's no SA playbook here yet; no demo environment, no evaluation template, no onboarding runbook, no reference architectures. You'll build them, and they'll become how Andromeda works with customers for years. If you've been the person who quietly built all of that at your last company and want to do it on purpose this time, this is that role.

What You’ll Do

Win the technical evaluation

Partner with Sales to qualify opportunities, lead technical discovery, and scope evaluations against the customer's real success criteria — not a generic checklist. Design cluster and workload architectures that map to business outcomes: time-to-first-token, tokens/sec, MFU, cost per training run, reliability targets. Own POCs end-to-end — scope, benchmarks, success metrics, timeline, stakeholder alignment.

Land it and grow it

Take customers from signature to first successful production training run: provisioning, environment setup, validation benchmarks, and the unglamorous debugging in between. Serve as the named technical owner for your accounts after launch. You’re responsible for architecture reviews, capacity planning, performance and cost optimization, and technical workload reviews. Spot expansion before the customer asks: where they're capacity-constrained, what's coming on their roadmap, and what it will take to serve it.

Build the function

Create the assets the SA team runs on: demo environments, benchmarking harnesses, reference architectures, onboarding runbooks, evaluation playbooks, and competitive material. Be the highest-signal feedback loop into Product, Engineering, and Research — recurring gaps, competitive losses, and what customers actually ask for once they're in production.

What We’re Looking For

5+ years in customer-facing technical roles, including 2+ years in pre-sales (Solutions Engineer, Sales Engineer, Solutions Architect, or specialist SA). Direct experience selling or supporting GPU compute at a neocloud or GPU provider, or as an AI/HPC specialist at a hyperscaler or NVIDIA. Demonstrated ability to take a customer from evaluation into production and stay accountable for the outcome. Real fluency in large-scale training and inference: distributed training frameworks, multi-node topologies, Infini Band/RoCE, storage and checkpointing, and where these break at scale. Comfort with Kubernetes and SLURM as scheduling environments customers actually run in. Enough Python to build a benchmark, a prototype, or an API integration yourself rather than waiting on engineering. A track record of owning technical evaluations in complex, multi-stakeholder deals and changing the outcome. Exceptional communication, able to hold a deep conversation with a distributed systems engineer and a CFO.

Strong Candidates May Have

Experience with frontier labs or AI-native companies as customers. Performance benchmarking, MFU analysis, or total-cost-of-training modeling. Having been the first or earliest SE somewhere.

What Success Looks Like

POCs convert reliably because evaluations are well-scoped, technically credible, and tied to customer ROI. Customers reach their first production training run fast, and what they saw in the POC is what they get. Accounts grow because you saw the constraint coming before the customer raised it. The assets you build let the next five SAs ramp in weeks instead of quarters.

Why You’ll Love It Here

High-growth environment: Get in early at a company at the center of the AI infrastructure boom Competitive compensation: + meaningful equity Comprehensive benefits: for you and your dependents, including healthcare, dental, and vision coverage, 401(k), and unlimited PTO

Andromeda Cluster is an equal opportunity employer. Company Overview Namiri Technology Services LLC provides tax integration software and services in the UAE, aligned with the e-Invoicing framework led by the Ministry of Finance (MoF) and Federal Tax Authority (FTA). Its flagship platform, Digi Tax, helps businesses transmit tax data simply, securely and efficiently. Digi Tax operates across Kenya, Nigeria, Zambia and the UAE through a single integration layer supporting multiple national e-invoicing regimes. The UAE framework follows a decentralised, Peppol-based five-corner model. Structured invoices are exchanged in the PINT AE format through Accredited Service Providers and reported to the FTA in near real time. The UAE mandate is entering its live phase. The voluntary pilot opened on 1 July 2026. Businesses with annual revenue of AED 50 million or more must appoint an Accredited Service Provider by 30 October 2026, with mandatory issuance beginning on 1 January 2027 for this group. Additional cohorts will follow during 2027. Demand for technical integration support is therefore immediate and expected to grow. Chief Technology Officer
AI-native transformation leader & hands-on builder-in-chief driving intelligent engineering to create real business value for enterprises. Architect what’s next. Own client revenue. Scale meaningful outcomes.
Your Mission: The Rolesolving for better. You are not just a technology leader. You are the chief architect of our future and innovation leader. You lead by doing—by building systems, shipping platforms, and scaling infrastructure that powers real AI outcomes. You won’t be presenting tech strategy on Power Point. You’ll be hands-on defining foundational architecture, evolving our platform DNA, and unlocking entirely new capabilities for AI-native product development. You will head Engineering, R&D, and Strategic Partnerships from a tech standpoint, employing first-principles design to create defensible moats and net-new revenue streams. Slide decks are optional after the platform is live. We’re not hiring a spokesperson. We need a CTO who still reviews PRs, whiteboards latency trade-offs, and thinks deployment-first. Relentless prototyper, ruthless refactorer, defender of velocity—you’ll be the Directly Responsible Individual (DRI) for velocity, integrity, innovation cadence and the performance of the engineering org behind it.
Your Responsibilitieswhat you will wake up to solve. This isn’t a “manage the tech team” role. You are the architect of reimagine 'what's next' and redefine the 'how' of 'what's next'. Your mission is to define the future of AI-native technology, build scalable platforms, and translate technical excellence into compounding business advantage. Here’s how you’ll make your mark:
Set the North Star — Strategy & Vision Architect the future. Define the 3-year roadmap for futurify.ai & evlos™, platform evolution, and infrastructure scale on Google Cloud. Link tech to P&L. Tie every architectural bet to revenue growth, margin, and client ROI (target ≥ 30% uplift). Build the Moat — Innovation & IPPatent the edge. File 10+ patents in 2 years across hybrid human-AI workflows, adaptive learning loops, and Agent2Agent protocols. Prove novelty. Run continuous prior-art sweeps; partner with legal to lock defensible claims. Accelerate R&D. Spin up internal accelerators—e.g., ROI dashboards with self-improving ML delivering production pilots in Power Point. Maintain a “code by day 1” rule; reduce iteration loops by 40 % via agentic automation. Guardrails & reliability. Embed SRE, security, and ethical HITL checks into CI/CD; track NPS > 80 via real-time dashboards. Grow the Engine — People & Ecosystem Elevate talent. Hire, coach, and retain world-class engineers; double internal promotion rate YoY. Set the bar. Codify standards, design reviews, and architectural principles that scale across squads. Partner to win. Forge deep alliances with hyperscalers, ISVs, and research labs; present Searce’s narrative at industry forums."
Welcome to Searce The ‘process-first’, AI-native modern tech consultancy that's rewriting the rules.
