What you'll be doing

We are looking for a skilled Front-End (React.js) Developer to join our e-commerce web team. You'll build and maintain the customer-facing storefront for a luxury retail platform serving multiple countries and languages across the GCC. Day-to-day, you'll develop user-interface components with React and Next.js, integrate them with our GraphQL commerce APIs, and profile and improve front-end performance.

To succeed in this role you should have strong JavaScript and React fundamentals, hands-on Next.js experience, and a solid grasp of building responsive, high-performance, accessible web applications. You should be equally comfortable with both Next.js routing architectures — the Pages Router and the App Router — as well as working against GraphQL APIs, building components within a design system, and writing tests. Ultimately, a top front-end developer here designs and builds polished, fast, internationalized UI that scales across regions and devices.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with product, design, and back-end teams to turn requirements and UI designs into working features.

Review application requirements and interface designs, surfacing edge cases and accessibility considerations early.

Build highly responsive, reusable UI components with React and our Tailwind CSS design system.

Integrate the UI with GraphQL APIs using Apollo Client against our headless commerce backend.

Implement internationalized, RTL-ready interfaces (English/Arabic) across multiple country storefronts.

Write application logic in JavaScript following React and Next.js patterns across both the Pages Router (our current architecture — SSR/SSG/ISR via getServerSideProps / getStaticProps) and the App Router (React Server Components, nested layouts, server/client components).

Contribute to our gradual migration toward the App Router, ensuring Pages Router and App Router code coexist cleanly throughout the transition.

Troubleshoot and debug interface and application code across browsers and devices.

Contribute to and extend the front-end architecture and shared component library, documented in Storybook.

Monitor and improve front-end performance and Core Web Vitals.

Write and maintain tests: unit/component tests with Jest and React Testing Library, E2E/regression tests with Cypress, and catch visual regressions with Storybook and Chromatic.

Participate in code reviews and uphold code quality through ESLint, Prettier, and CI checks.

What you’ll need to succeed

Proven experience working as a React.js / front-end developer.

In-depth knowledge of JavaScript (ES6+), HTML, CSS, and modern front-end tooling.

Hands-on experience with the Next.js framework, comfortable working in both the Pages Router and the App Router (a must) — including SSR, SSG, and ISR data fetching and React Server Components.

Strong experience with Tailwind CSS (a must).

Experience consuming GraphQL APIs, ideally with Apollo Client.

Previous experience creating or maintaining a design system / shared component library.

Experience with component-driven development and Storybook.

Experience with automated testing — unit/component (Jest, React Testing Library) and E2E (Cypress).

Familiarity with UI and visual regression testing practices.

Experience with browser-based debugging and performance/profiling tools (e.g. Chrome DevTools, Lighthouse).

Experience with CI/CD tools and Git-based workflows.

Good understanding of responsive design, cross-browser compatibility, and web accessibility (accessibility).

Excellent troubleshooting skills, plus good collaboration, communication, and time-management skills.

Nice to have:

Experience migrating a Next.js codebase from the Pages Router to the App Router.

Experience with internationalization (i18n) and building RTL (Arabic) interfaces.

Experience in e-commerce / headless commerce (e.g. Magento) and integrating payment providers (e.g. Adyen, Checkout.com).

Familiarity with feature flags / A/B testing tools (e.g. GrowthBook).

Familiarity with TypeScript.

Experience with Docker and containerized deployments (Bitbucket Pipelines or similar).

Familiarity with React state/data patterns (Context API, Apollo cache) and form libraries (React Hook Form).

Write and maintain tests: unit/component tests with Jest + React Testing Library and E2E/regression tests with Cypress, and catch visual regressions with Storybook + Chromatic.

Participate in code reviews and uphold code quality through ESLint/Prettier and CI checks.

Familiarity with UI / visual regression testing practices.

Experience with browser-based debugging and performance/profiling tools (e.g. Chrome DevTools, Lighthouse).

Experience with CI/CD tools and Git-based workflows.

Good understanding of responsive design, cross-browser compatibility, and web accessibility (a11y).

Magento) and integrating payment providers.

Familiarity with feature flags / A-B testing tools (e.g. GrowthBook).

Familiarity with TypeScript.

Experience with Docker and containerized deployments (Bitbucket Pipelines or similar).

Familiarity with React state/data patterns (Context API, Apollo cache) and form libraries (React Hook Form).

You will take total accountability for complex challenges, driving them from initial friction to final resolution. Operating autonomously across global time zones, you are the crucial connective tissue that ensures what our customers need is exactly what our engineers build.

If you thrive in high-velocity environments, love distilling chaos into clarity, and have a relentless bias for action, this is the role for you.

What You'll Do

Own the product signal end-to-end: Transform raw feedback and friction from operations and customers into clear, prioritized, and actionable insights for Product Managers. You uncover what truly matters, validate the "why," and drive the prioritization of impactful solutions. Orchestrate global execution: You are the critical connector between distributed Product, Engineering, and GTM teams. When PMs and engineers are in different time zones, you step in to scope work, answer questions, unblock decisions, and maintain momentum. You also ensure GTM teams are fully equipped to launch, sell, and support what ships. Be the ultimate problem-solver: When a process breaks or a product stalls, you don't just hand it off and disappear. You dig deep to uncover the root cause - whether it’s a product gap, a documentation issue, or a systemic limitation - and you own the solution from discovery to implementation. Navigate and simplify complexity: You will manage competing demands coming from all directions. You excel at taking that volume, structuring the details, prioritizing ruthlessly, and taking decisive action. You don't wait for permission to move; you make informed calls and drive progress.

What We're Looking For

4+ years of experience in fast-paced, high-scale environments (Series A/B/C startups or equivalent-pace tech organizations), with a proven track record of moving quickly and juggling competing priorities. End-to-end ownership mentality: You have successfully operated in the space between product and ops. You can translate the distinct languages and priorities of different teams, and you know how to separate true product signals from operational noise. Relentless resourcefulness: When you hit a roadblock, you find a way around it. You are highly comfortable context-switching between a customer escalation, an engineering sync, and deep-dive data analysis. Autonomous decision-making: You are a natural problem-solver who can dig into complex issues, form a strong point of view, and make the right calls. You know exactly what is yours to decide and what requires escalation. Data-driven approach: You possess a strong analytical foundation. You can pull your own data, extract meaningful insights, and use them to drive product enhancements and prioritization. You are highly comfortable with spreadsheets, dashboards, and core operational analytics. Precision communication: You write and speak with clarity and impact. You easily adapt your communication style depending on whether you are talking to engineers, PMs, customers, or leadership. Sharp product sense: You deeply understand how software is built and shipped. While you don't need to be a PM, you understand what is technically possible, how to accurately answer scoping questions, and how to spot when an initiative is off-track.

Total Rewards

Our workforce deserves fair and competitive pay that meets them where they are. Own the alerting stack (Zabbix), including threshold tuning, tag/host hygiene, and reducing alert noise without creating blind spots. Execute production data corrections using structured procedures (pre-check, execute, post-check, commit/rollback). Manage Azure SQL compute allocation across regions. Evaluate and implement compute isolation where traffic patterns justify it.

Performance Engineering

Read and interpret SQL Server execution plans end-to-end. Identify the costliest operator and trace it back to its root cause. Apply tactical fixes (plan hints, index adds, stats updates) that buy time, then design structural fixes tracked as debt. Index design: composite key order, include columns, covering vs. partial, online builds.

Schema Development & Release Safety

Review all database PRs against the team's checklist Own the schema deprecation pipeline: [deprecated] schema promotion, Drop Scheduled Date extended property, 30-day scream test before any DROP.

Knowledge & Documentation

Document database object intent using Extended Properties (MS_Description), not just external wikis. Write clear, reproducible runbooks for every non-trivial SOP. Contribute to and occasionally lead internal database development sessions. Expert-level T-SQL: window functions, CTEs, dynamic SQL (sp_executesql), OUTER APPLY, correlated subquery identification, temp table vs table variable trade-offs. Execution plan fluency: you can identify a Key Lookup, recognize a Parallel Nested Loop that should be a Hash Join, and explain why the optimizer made the wrong choice. Index design beyond "create an index and see if it speeds things up." You understand included columns, fill factor, fragmentation costs, and when NOT to add an index. Experience with multi-tenant, multi-country production databases where a bad migration can affect thousands of companies simultaneously. Disciplined about prod changes. You don't run anything in production without a rollback plan, a pre-check, and a post-check. Able to work autonomously: you don't wait to be told there's a problem. You monitor, you notice patterns, and you raise them.

Strong preference

Azure SQL Hyper Scale or Managed Instance experience. Azure Data Factory familiarity (pipelines, triggers, monitoring). Experience with payroll, HR, or financial data systems - not required, but you'll learn this domain faster if you have it. Zabbix or equivalent monitoring platform administration. Schema migration experience on a database with 500+ tables and active development traffic. Exposure to soft-delete patterns, audit triggers, and data retention compliance.

Nice to have

Power Shell scripting for DBA automation (index maintenance, health checks, access provisioning). Experience reviewing ORM-generated queries and translating developer intent into an efficient SQL shape.

Total Rewards

Our workforce deserves fair and competitive pay that meets them where they are.
