About Eyewa Eyewa is MENA’s leading omnichannel eyewear company, operating across the GCC with retail stores and a flagship e Commerce platform. We’re scaling fast — and our internal operations, tooling, and decision-making systems need to scale with us.
The Role We’re hiring a PM to lead the AI Transformation Squad — the team turning AI into a measurable business lever at Eyewa. This is an execution role, not a strategy role. You’ll build AI-powered internal tools that eliminate manual work, reduce cost, and improve operational decisions across the business. You’ll also be Eyewa’s internal authority on how AI gets shipped — defining the governance standards and best practices that every product team follows when productionising AI features. The mandate is broad. The team is lean. Hands-on ownership from day one.
Key Responsibilities Define and own the AI transformation roadmap across ops, CX, supply chain, and data intelligence — sequenced by ROI, not enthusiasm. Translate cross-functional business problems into precise AI product specs: datasets, model objectives, output format, evaluation criteria, integration points. Build, launch, and iterate on agentic workflows and intelligent automation that internal teams actually adopt and rely on. Own AI output quality in production — define what ‘production-ready’ means, build eval frameworks, and monitor accuracy, hallucination rate, latency, and reliability. Be the requirements funnel: collect and prioritise AI requests from across the business, push back on low-ROI use cases, and protect ML engineering time. Define success metrics for every initiative before building: cost saved, time recovered, resolution rate, error reduction, NPS uplift. Own Eyewa’s AI governance framework — output quality standards, evaluation criteria, monitoring requirements, explainability expectations, and production-readiness protocols. Evangelise AI best practices across product teams: run enablement sessions, build playbooks, and act as the go-to partner when any squad is productionising an AI feature — helping them ship right, not auditing after the fact.
What We’re Looking For3+ years in product management, with 1–2 years owning AI/ML products in production. You’ve shipped something real at scale — not a demo, not a pilot that quietly died. Proven operational impact: you’ve built AI tools that replaced a manual process, reduced a real cost, or changed how a team works. You can point to the before/after and put a number on it. Technically credible: you hold your own in ML engineer discussions — prompt engineering, RAG, agentic frameworks, eval sets, model trade-offs. You don’t need a translator. Business-problem-first: you start with the workflow, not the model. You push back on AI for AI’s sake and can tell when a spreadsheet would do the job better. Owns quality end-to-end: reliability, accuracy, and explainability are part of your definition of done. You’ve built eval frameworks and iterated based on production failure analysis. Has shipped AI governance: you’ve defined standards, written playbooks, or run enablement that actually changed how a team builds AI — not just documented best practices nobody read.
Nice to Have Hands-on with agentic frameworks (Lang Chain, Crew AI, or similar) or LLM eval pipelines.e Commerce, retail, or omnichannel ops experience. Familiarity with MENA market dynamics.

It gives people real control over their data and how they use AI. No cloud dependency, no data harvesting, and no one else's servers between you and your assistant. Our focus is local, on-device, privacy-preserving AI, connected across Tether's peer-to-peer ecosystem. We're building the AI assistant people actually own. Product sets the direction.

We're looking for a Product Engineering Lead to turn that direction into features people love, built to a standard that holds up on real devices with real constraints. You lead the teams that build QV.AC's features and app experience on top of our local AI stack, each with its own lead. You report directly to the CTO and take direction from product. Product owns the what and the why. You own the how and the engineering bar.

The split is roughly 70% engineering leadership and 30% product. You're a combination of three things. You're an engineering leader who has helped teams ship consumer products at speed. You have real product sense and can partner with PMs as an equal, shaping what gets built, not just executing it. And you have an intuition for AI systems and their limits, so you can turn emerging capabilities into features that work reliably on-device, without needing to build the models yourself.

Responsibilities

Engineering - Run the app and feature teams day to day: unblocking, reviewing, and keeping them shipping.- Set and hold a high engineering bar for performance, reliability, and clean APIs.- Own the technical design of features and the API surface between our AI core and the app.- Make sure your teams work closely with our AI research and deep tech teams on code reviews, design, and anything that touches models or inference.

Product Partnership - Work alongside QV.AC's product managers to turn vision and roadmap into scoped, buildable work.- Push back when scope and reality don't match, and propose better paths when they exist.- Bring an engineering perspective to product decisions, especially on what local models can do well today and what they can't yet.- Help the team move fast, using AI tools and quick prototypes to validate ideas before committing to them.

Leadership - Create clarity around team goals and make sure everyone knows what success looks like.- Mentor team leads to build strong team operating systems, improve how their teams work with others, and grow as leaders.- Lead by example: roll up your sleeves when the team needs it, and step back when they're ready to own it.

Mandatory:

Experience managing engineers or engineering leads who ship consumer product, ideally AI-powered apps.

Strong product sense: you can tell a good feature from a busy one.

Intuition for applied AI and on-device constraints: model size, latency, memory, battery, and the gap between a good demo and a reliable feature. You don't need ML research expertise, because our core abstracts it away.

You use AI tools heavily in your own work and enjoy experimenting with new models and capabilities.

Deep JavaScript and React.

Initiative, curiosity, resilience, and the ability to give and receive direct critique.

Preferred:

Bonus: Experience with local or on-device inference, LLM evals, cross-platform mobile and desktop apps, or open source.

Important information for candidates

Recruitment scams have become increasingly common.
