<p>We are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor – Civil Engineer with strong experience in gypsum ceiling, drywall, painting, and interior finishing works. The ideal candidate should have solid knowledge of quantity surveying, cost control, estimation, subcontractor management, and commercial activities for construction and fit-out projects. The candidate will be responsible for managing the commercial and contractual aspects of projects from tendering through project completion, ensuring accurate measurements, cost control, variations, valuations, and final accounts. Key Responsibilities Prepare detailed quantity take-offs, BOQs, estimates, and cost plans for civil, gypsum ceiling, drywall, painting, and finishing works. Review drawings, specifications, and scope of works to identify quantities, materials, and project requirements. Prepare and evaluate tenders, quotations, and subcontractor comparisons. Measure and value completed works, particularly gypsum ceiling, partitions, drywall, painting, and other finishing works. Prepare interim payment applications and monthly valuations. Review and certify subcontractor and supplier payment applications. Prepare, evaluate, and negotiate variations, additional works, and claims. Monitor project costs against approved budgets and provide regular cost reports and forecasts. Maintain accurate records of quantities, costs, variations, commitments, and payments. Coordinate with Project Managers, Site Engineers, Foremen, Planning Engineers, and Accounts regarding commercial matters. Review subcontractor quotations and negotiate competitive rates. Assist in procurement by preparing material and subcontractor comparison sheets. Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or project requirements. Prepare rate analysis for civil and finishing works.
