In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the accuracy and compliance of all survey activities on infrastructure projects. You will work closely with engineering teams, contractors, and client representatives to verify that all construction works meet approved specifications and design requirements. <p>Our Tier 1 Main Contracting Client has a new requirement for a well experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Dubai, UAE. Successful candidates will have extensive pre and post contract Quantity Surveying experience on large scale civil construction projects. This role is available for immediate joining and is hiring on a temporary to permanent basis as an initial 6 month contract position, outsourced through J10 Consulting, with the option to transfer to staff after 6 months to suit all parties.
Key Responsibilities:
• To administer all contractual matters pertaining to the Main Contract and Subcontracts and to keep the project Manager appraised concerning such contractual matters.
• Measurement and proper settlement of subcontract accounts in accordance with company procedures and provisions of the Contract.
• Ensuring timely submission of interim valuations and expediting timely receipt of certificates and payments.
• To liaise with proposed nominated subcontractors, prepare risk analysis for management review.

<p>We are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor – Civil Engineer with strong experience in gypsum ceiling, drywall, painting, and interior finishing works. The ideal candidate should have solid knowledge of quantity surveying, cost control, estimation, subcontractor management, and commercial activities for construction and fit-out projects.
The candidate will be responsible for managing the commercial and contractual aspects of projects from tendering through project completion, ensuring accurate measurements, cost control, variations, valuations, and final accounts.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare detailed quantity take-offs, BOQs, estimates, and cost plans for civil, gypsum ceiling, drywall, painting, and finishing works.
Review drawings, specifications, and scope of works to identify quantities, materials, and project requirements.
Prepare and evaluate tenders, quotations, and subcontractor comparisons.
Measure and value completed works, particularly gypsum ceiling, partitions, drywall, painting, and other finishing works.
Prepare interim payment applications and monthly valuations.
Review and certify subcontractor and supplier payment applications.
Prepare, evaluate, and negotiate variations, additional works, and claims.
Monitor project costs against approved budgets and provide regular cost reports and forecasts.
Maintain accurate records of quantities, costs, variations, commitments, and payments.
Coordinate with Project Managers, Site Engineers, Foremen, Planning Engineers, and Accounts regarding commercial matters.
Review subcontractor quotations and negotiate competitive rates.
Assist in procurement by preparing material and subcontractor comparison sheets.
Monitor material usage and wastage, particularly for gypsum boards, metal framing, jointing materials, paints, primers, and related finishing materials.
Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or project requirements.
Prepare rate analysis for civil and finishing works.
Review contractual documents, specifications, drawings, and terms and conditions.
Maintain proper documentation for variation orders, claims, payment certificates, and final accounts.
Prepare and finalize subcontractor final accounts and project final accounts.
Support project management in resolving commercial and contractual issues.
Ensure all measurements and commercial records are properly maintained and supported by site documentation.</p><p>Required Technical Experience

UAE construction/fit-out experience is highly preferred.
Strong knowledge of BOQ preparation, quantity take-off, estimation, rate analysis, variations, valuations, and final accounts.
Experience dealing with subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, and clients.
Good understanding of construction drawings and specifications.
Proficiency in MS Excel and AutoCAD.
Knowledge of quantity surveying/cost management software is an advantage.
Strong negotiation, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects or packages.
Preferred Candidate
