This role offers a rare opportunity to join the organization during a pivotal period of growth and transformation, helping build and support tax strategies, governance processes, and compliance frameworks that will position the company for long-term success while serving critical government and commercial missions around the world.</i></p><br><br><br><p><b>Key Responsibilities</b></p><br><br><ul><li>Manage tax matters across the Middle East region, including direct tax, indirect tax, tax accounting, compliance, and advisory activities.</li><li>Provide tax advice on proposals, contract reviews, business transactions, and strategic initiatives, including technical research, planning, and risk assessments.</li><li>Review quarterly tax provisions and related tax accounting activities in accordance with U.S. GAAP, including uncertain tax position documentation and supporting analyses.</li><li>Coordinate with Finance and Accounting teams to maintain tax-related internal controls and support financial reporting requirements.</li><li>Oversee the preparation and review of local country tax returns and ensure compliance with applicable filing and reporting obligations.</li><li>Manage tax audits, inquiries, and disputes in partnership with external advisors and local authorities.</li><li>Support tax aspects of acquisitions, dispositions, liquidations, restructurings, and other special projects.</li><li>Lead regional initiatives related to BEPS Pillar Two, e-invoicing requirements, and emerging tax regulatory developments.</li><li>Manage Middle East VAT matters, including compliance, planning, system enhancements, and process improvements.</li><li>Partner with Finance, Legal, Treasury, Business Development, and global Tax team members to address complex cross-border tax matters.</li><li>Prepare technical memoranda, position papers, and correspondence for senior stakeholders, external advisors, and tax authorities.</li><li>Support the development and enhancement of tax systems, policies, processes, and governance frameworks, including oversight of external advisor engagements and related administration.</li></ul><br><p><b>Basic Qualifications</b></p><br><br><p><b>Education & Experience</b></p><br><br><ul><li>Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Tax, or a related field.</li><li>9+ years of progressive tax experience within a multinational corporation, public accounting firm, or a combination of both.</li><li>Experience supporting international tax matters and cross-border transactions.</li><li>Experience with corporate tax accounting and tax provision reporting.</li><li>Experience managing tax compliance, advisory, and audit activities across multiple jurisdictions.</li></ul><p><b>Technical & Leadership Skills</b></p><br><br><ul><li>Strong knowledge of corporate income tax, indirect tax, and international tax principles.</li><li>Experience with U.S. GAAP tax accounting and financial reporting requirements.</li><li>Familiarity with BEPS Pillar Two regulations, e-invoicing requirements, and evolving international tax developments.</li><li>Working knowledge of ERP systems and tax-related reporting processes, including VAT coding and transaction flows.</li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.</li><li>Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and advise business partners across functions.</li></ul><br><p><b>Preferred Qualifications</b></p><br><br><ul><li>CPA, Chartered Accountant, or equivalent professional accounting or tax certification.</li><li>Experience supporting tax matters within the Middle East region.</li><li>Experience with SAP or similar ERP platforms.</li><li>Arabic language proficiency.</li></ul><br><br><br> </div>
