<p>We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated professional to join our team as a Senior Governance, Compliance (GC) Specialist. This position plays a pivotal role in ensuring the company’s adherence to regulatory standards, mitigating risks, and maintaining a robust governance framework within the dynamic insurance industry of the UAE. The role also involves engaging effectively with a variety of regulatory bodies, including CBUAE, SCA, DoH, and DHA. Additionally, the Senior GC Specialist will oversee the governance and compliance functions of the company’s branches and subsidiaries located outside of the UAE.</p><br><p><strong>What you will do</strong></p><br><p>Governance</p><br><ul><li><p>Develop, implement, and maintain the corporate governance framework and policies across the organization.</p></li><li><p>Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements set by authorities, including CBUAE, SCA and other regulatory bodies.</p></li><li><p>Collaborate with stakeholders to align the governance structure with the company’s strategic objectives.</p></li><li><p>Evaluate and report on the effectiveness of governance systems to senior management and the Board of Directors.</p></li><li><p>Maintain a strong understanding of local and international governance practices to ensure the company’s policies remain forward-thinking and effective.</p></li><li><p>Oversee and ensure alignment of governance policies across branches and subsidiaries outside of the UAE, adhering to the respective local regulations and standards.</p></li></ul><br><p>Compliance</p><br><ul><li><p>Ensure the company complies with UAE insurance laws, healthcare regulations, anti-money laundering (AML) requirements, and standards set by CBUAE, SCA, DoH, and DHA.</p></li><li><p>Establish and oversee compliance monitoring and corrective action plans.</p></li><li><p>Provide training and awareness programs to employees on compliance-related topics, regulatory changes, and industry updates.</p></li><li><p>Act as the primary point of contact for regulatory audits, inspections, and inquiries from the regulators.</p></li><li><p>Develop strong relationships with regulators and industry bodies to stay informed on evolving compliance expectations and foster collaboration.</p></li><li><p>Oversee compliance frameworks for branches and subsidiaries outside of the UAE, ensuring adherence to their respective local laws and regulations.</p></li></ul><p><strong>Desired Candidate Profile</strong></p><p><strong>Required Skills to be successful</strong></p><br><ul><li><p>Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in Governance and Compliance, within the UAE insurance industry.</p></li><li><p>In-depth knowledge of UAE insurance and healthcare regulations, governance frameworks, and risk management best practices.</p></li><li><p>Bachelor’ s degree in Law, Finance, Risk or a related field.
