Role: Site Engineer (Electrical) Location: Abu Dhabi<br>Job Purpose:The primary function of the Site Engineer is to support the Retail Delivery Team to administer the terms and conditions of a Tenants Agreement for Lease; facilitating design as per the Design Criteria Manual, construction as per the Fit-Out Guide and compliance with local authorities.<br>Job Responsibilities:1. Actively monitors the Fit Out process on behalf of the Retail Delivery Manager to eliminate possible opportunities for delay whilst monitoring that all aspects of the build are compliant with required approvals.3.1 Monitors general health and safety practices of the Tenant contracting team; reports and issues warnings or suspends work if violations occur after gaining approval from the Retail Delivery Manager informed.3.2 Equips self with the fundamental technical knowledge that is regularly requested by the Tenant Contractor and their teams, asking colleagues when unsure.3.3 Demonstrates an awareness of the various handover processes between base build to landlord and landlord to tenant, using supporting drawings when required.3.4 Verifies that on site build complies with approved drawings; encouraging Contractor to keep sets of approved drawings readily available for inspection.3.5 Completes on-site inspections in a timely manner, issues relevant documentation and informs Retail Delivery Manager in order to record data within applicable project reports.3.6 Assists in obtaining documentation for Change Order Requests (Tenant Variation Request) to provide to the Retail Delivery Manager. Position Summary<br>Our client is seeking an experienced QA/QC Engineer (Electrical) with a strong background in MEP construction projects in the UAE. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all electrical installation works are executed in compliance with approved drawings, project specifications, applicable codes and standards, Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), and contractual requirements. Ensure subcontractors adhere to approved quality procedures and maintain complete inspection records. Prepare and maintain inspection schedules aligned with project milestones. Identify quality issues and non-conformities, ensuring timely corrective actions are implemented. Ensure rejected materials are properly segregated and removed from site.<br>Non-Conformance & Corrective Actions Raise, monitor, and close Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and Site Observation Reports (SORs). Coordinate with construction teams to implement corrective and preventive actions. Conduct follow-up inspections to verify the effectiveness of corrective measures. Escalate recurring quality issues to the QA/QC Manager and recommend process improvements.<br>Testing & Commissioning Coordinate inspections and testing activities for electrical systems prior to commissioning. Ensure all testing documentation, reports, and approvals are completed before system handover. Verify compliance with project specifications, authority requirements, and client quality standards.<br>Fire & Life Safety (FLS) Monitor Fire & Life Safety (FLS) installations and electrical interfaces to ensure compliance with approved drawings, project specifications, and civil defense requirements. Coordinate inspections related to fire alarm, emergency lighting, and associated electrical systems where applicable.<br>Quality Documentation & Reporting Maintain accurate QA/QC records, inspection reports, checklists, and testing documentation. Prepare weekly and monthly quality reports, including inspection status, NCR summaries, approvals, and outstanding quality issues. Ensure all project quality documentation is complete, organized, and ready for audits and client handover.<br>Snagging & Project Closeout Coordinate snagging and de-snagging inspections with consultants, subcontractors, and project teams. Track and close all quality punch list items within project timelines. Ensure all QA/QC documentation is completed prior to project handover.<br>Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering. Minimum 7 years of QA/QC experience in MEP construction projects within the UAE. Strong understanding of electrical installation practices, testing, commissioning, and quality management systems. Experience working with consultants, subcontractors, and multidisciplinary project teams.
