The Mubadala Arabian Center for Climate and Environmental Sciences (Mubadala ACCESS) at New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD) invites applications for a Junior Research Scientist to support a multidisciplinary research program investigating the environmental and ecological drivers of productive fishing grounds in the United Arab Emirates.<br><br>Working alongside researchers from NYUAD and Emirates Nature–WWF, the successful candidate will contribute to marine habitat mapping, spatial analysis, and environmental data integration to support fisheries management and marine conservation.<br><br>The Junior Research Scientist will support the acquisition, processing, and analysis of marine spatial and environmental datasets collected throughout the project. Working within a multidisciplinary team, the successful candidate will assist in developing habitat maps, managing spatial databases, integrating environmental monitoring data, and producing analytical outputs that inform conservation planning and fisheries management.<br><br>The role combines office-based spatial analysis with opportunities to participate in field surveys, environmental monitoring, and marine habitat assessments across the UAE.<br><br>The successful candidate will assist with processing GIS, bathymetric, habitat, and environmental datasets, maintaining project databases, and supporting the development of habitat maps and spatial products.
