About Perception X:
Perception X is growing, and joining as our AI Research Analyst is an opportunity to take direct ownership of the work at the centre of the business. This role is responsible for producing the quarterly intelligence reports our clients pay for, authoring the original research we publish, and building the internal tooling that makes both faster.
Candidates have stopped starting their job search on Google. They ask an AI, and it returns an answer about a company as a place to work — assembled from review sites, press coverage, forum threads, and whatever is left of that company's careers page. Most employers have no visibility into what that answer says. We built the measurement layer for it.
Every quarter we run thousands of candidate-style prompts across the major AI platforms, capture the responses, and score each employer on visibility, sentiment, and relevance — broken down by market, job function, and platform. Clients receive a report telling them exactly where they are invisible, where they are described badly, and which specific sources are writing their story for them. Our clients are household-name global employers.
What we do:Measure how AI assistants describe employers to job candidates, at scale and over time Turn that measurement into quarterly client reporting with specific, evidenced recommendations Publish original research on how AI platforms source, cite, and portray employers Maintain the Perception X Visibility Index, our public employer reputation benchmark
We are looking for an analyst early in their career who is unusually capable for their level of experience. The ideal candidate is interested in working with large datasets, uses AI tools to build things rather than to ask questions, writes clearly enough that a Head of Talent can act on a paragraph without a translation layer, and is uncompromising about whether a number is right. You will own client-facing analysis from the first quarter, with the founding team reviewing rather than rewriting.
Responsibilities:
Own the analysis behind quarterly client reports end to end — query the measurement database, verify every figure against source data, and identify the movements and patterns that matter Write the report narrative and recommendations, translating statistical findings into actions a talent acquisition team can execute Author Perception X's proprietary published research on AI sourcing and citation behaviour Build internal tooling with AI-assisted development — query templates, verification scripts, and automated checks that catch errors before they reach a client Run data quality and integrity checks across the measurement pipeline, and flag anything that does not reconcile Contribute to the refinement of Perception X's scoring methodologies as the AI platform landscape shifts Support the founding team with ad-hoc competitive, market, and prospect analysis
Minimum qualifications:
Demonstrable use of large language models as a working tool — to write code, interrogate data, or build something functional — rather than as an occasional assistant Comfort working with structured data and a willingness to get into a database directly. You do not need existing SQL experience, but you do need to be able to reason about what a dataset can and cannot tell you Clear written English, and the ability to explain a finding to a non-technical senior stakeholder Rigorous approach to data verification. Our commercial position rests on clients trusting our methodology, so every published figure must be traceable to source
Nice to haves:
Existing SQL experience, particularly with Postgre SQL or Supabase Evidence of having independently built and shipped something using AI — a tool, a site, a product, a piece of analysis Exposure to employer branding, talent analytics, HR data, or market intelligence Experience turning analysis into client-facing decks or dashboards
How to apply:
Send your CV or Linked In profile and optionally an example of something you have built.
We read every application. A strong answer to the third item will get you a conversation regardless of what your CV says.
PLEASE NOTE: This is a remote role. Perception X is registered in the UAE, and the engagement structure will be confirmed during the process depending on your country of residence.
About Us
Perception X is an AI-native employer reputation service that helps organisations understand how AI assistants portray them as workplaces, and what to do about it. Through the Perception X Visibility Index and our Employer Perception methodology, talent acquisition and employer brand teams can benchmark how often and how positively they are recommended in AI-generated answers compared with their competitors, across 15 core candidate-focused themes including career growth, leadership, flexibility, and wellbeing.
We are an equal opportunity workplace and are committed to considering every application on capability and evidence, regardless of race, colour, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, age, marital status, disability status, or gender identity.
