<p>A healthcare facility in the UAE is looking for a qualified, skilled, and detail-oriented Medical Laboratory Technician to join its team. The ideal candidate should have strong laboratory knowledge, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to perform diagnostic tests accurately while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and patient care.<br />
Collect, receive, identify, label, and properly handle patient specimens.<br />
Perform routine laboratory tests and diagnostic procedures according to established protocols.<br />
Prepare blood, urine, stool, and other clinical specimens for laboratory analysis.<br />
Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments properly.<br />
Perform hematology, biochemistry, microbiology, clinical pathology, or other relevant laboratory procedures as assigned.<br />
Ensure accurate processing, testing, recording, and reporting of laboratory results.<br />
Conduct quality control checks and maintain laboratory standards.<br />
Identify abnormal or critical results and promptly inform the concerned senior staff or physician according to facility procedures.<br />
Maintain accurate patient records, laboratory reports, and test documentation.<br />
Follow infection-control, biosafety, and laboratory safety procedures at all times.<br />
Properly handle, store, and dispose of biological specimens and laboratory waste.<br />
Monitor laboratory supplies, reagents, and consumables and report shortages when required.<br />
Perform routine cleaning, calibration, and basic maintenance of laboratory equipment as per guidelines.<br />
Maintain confidentiality of patient information and laboratory results.<br />
Follow the facility’s policies, procedures, ethical standards, and applicable healthcare regulations.<br />
Work closely with doctors, nurses, laboratory staff, and other healthcare professionals.<br />
Assist senior laboratory staff with additional laboratory duties when required.<br />
Requirements<br />
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Technology, Medical Laboratory Science, or a related field.<br />
Relevant professional experience in a clinical or diagnostic laboratory is preferred.<br />
Strong knowledge of laboratory procedures, specimen handling, and testing protocols.<br />
Good understanding of laboratory safety and infection-control practices.<br />
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.<br />
Good communication and interpersonal skills.<br />
Ability to work independently as well as part of a medical laboratory team.<br />
Ability to work efficiently in a busy clinical environment.<br />
Computer literacy and basic laboratory information system knowledge are an advantage.<br />
UAE healthcare experience is preferred.<br />
Valid UAE healthcare professional license or eligibility (DHA/DOH/MOHAP, as applicable) will be an advantage/requirement depending on the facility and role.<br />

Solid understanding of healthcare, laboratory, or scientific environments, with the ability to learn technical product features and explain them clearly to customers. Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, including the ability to prepare professional proposals and handle client objections effectively. Proven capability in territory management, lead generation, and pipeline management, with a focus on achieving and exceeding sales targets. Good organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to plan client visits, prioritize opportunities, and manage multiple accounts simultaneously. Proficiency in standard office and CRM software for tracking leads, opportunities, and sales activities. Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Biomedical Engineering, Medical Laboratory Science, Business, or a related discipline is preferred. Prior experience in the UAE or GCC market and a valid ability to work in Dubai are advantageous.
