Eden Rose is currently engaged with a financial institution based in Abu Dhabi who are seeking a Senior Credit Officer.<br>You will be responsible for managing client origination from onboarded platforms, ensuring prospective clients meet target market criteria and risk acceptance standards, and processing credit applications through approval and post-approval stages.<br>Key Responsibilities:<br>Prepare and present high-quality credit applications, including financial analysis, credit risk assessment, structuring recommendations and proposed terms for trade finance, working capital and asset-backed financing facilities. Structure financing solutions appropriate to each client’s needs, trade cycle and risk profile Liaise with Credit and Risk functions throughout the approval process, addressing queries, providing additional information and ensuring approvals are obtained within agreed service levels. Manage the post-approval process including satisfaction of conditions precedent, documentation execution, drawdown coordination with Operations, and ensuring clients are onboarded and activated within agreed timelines. Utilise credit assessment tools and alternative data sources as part of the tech-assisted underwriting process, contributing to the continuous improvement of origination and credit workflows.<br>The Senior Credit Officer will hold a Graduate degree from a recognised academic institution and have over 4 years experience in a credit subject matter expert role in the SME/Mid-Market division of a bank, working with corporate clients only.<br>This is an excellent opportunity with the UAE. Strong knowledge of banking products, international banking practices and regulations
Excellent communication, stakeholder management and presentation skills
Ability to train and mentor team members
Arabic language skills would be an advantage
Willingness to work across any branch/office within the UAE
