Job Profile & Description: About the role: Mott MacDonald are looking for a BIM Designer to support the Infrastructure Utilities team on the delivery of ongoing/future projects across the Unit. Key responsibilities and duties are listed, but not limited to, the below: Develop, manage, and maintain high-quality BIM models, drawings, and design documentation for infrastructure utilities including water supply, sewerage, stormwater drainage, irrigation, power, telecommunications, street lighting, and gas networks. Coordinate BIM models across utilities, civil, structural, and other disciplines, perform clash detection, resolve design conflicts, and ensure constructability throughout the project lifecycle. Ensure all BIM deliverables comply with the BIM Execution Plan (BEP), ISO 19650, Common Data Environment (CDE) requirements, client standards, and internal quality procedures. Expert proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D, Autodesk Map 3D, and Autodesk Navisworks, with strong knowledge of utility modelling, multidisciplinary BIM coordination, model federation, clash detection, and digital engineering workflows. Thorough understanding of ISO 19650, BIM Execution Plans (BEP), Common Data Environment (CDE), Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), utility design standards, and infrastructure engineering practices. Job Purpose<br><br>The Draftsman is responsible for preparing, updating, and maintaining technical drawings, plans, diagrams, and engineering documentation to support municipal infrastructure, transportation, road, and public works projects. The role assists engineers and technical teams by producing accurate drawings and layouts in accordance with approved specifications, drafting standards, municipal regulations, and project requirements. Ensure that trouble shooting procedures/tools used for fault rectification are carried out in a cost effective and efficient manner. </li><li>Ensure that all activities performed are carried out in accordance with all safety rules and regulations and in adherence to company procedures, highlighting a deficiencies/requirements through the effective use of reporting tools.</li><li>Ensure all work locations are kept clean and excellent housekeeping conditions are maintained. </li><li>Maintain effective communication with Colleagues including Managers and Senior Engineers to ensure a seamless flow of information and to highlight any potential operational issues. </li><li>Manage the performance of staff using performance review process and system. Be conversant with 145 AMO regulatory framework. Liaise with company internal Compliance Monitoring teams for obtaining necessary regulatory approvals for shop activities. </li><li>Lead the project to build up the agreed new aircraft components capabilities until it is approved by regulatory. Liaise with Fleet Technical Management (Engineering Technical Services - ETS), Part 21 DOA, UAE GCAA MOA (Manufacturing Organization), Component Repair or Reliability Departments for gathering facts and solid justification data for the capability establishment. Define new Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) or Process Instruction Manuals / Stage Sheets / Work Order Job Cards that allows shop engineers to practice new capability deliverables. Develop and deliver training programs to enhance the technical proficiency of the Work Shop's staff. Introduce external training / refresher training to allow Authorization approval scopes of certifying engineers remain valid. Liaise with Technical Publications, ETS and ensure all Work Shop publications (CMM, CMM-TR, SILs, CMM-ICA documents) are available for Work Shop Personnel access. </li><li>Coordinate with internal related stake holders to implement the built/approved new capabilities in the workshop until the output of production is fully compliance with regulations.
