We are looking for a hands-on leader to own cloud and security across Amana. This person is the senior authority for application security, cloud architecture, cloud security, and the engineering practices that keep our systems resilient. The title reflects the breadth of accountability, not the scale of a corporate hierarchy. Amana is a small company, and this role leads a compact function while remaining personally involved in the work. The right person has already led a small technical security team and is comfortable operating as its most senior engineer, initially supported by one engineer or analyst. They can review architecture, challenge engineering decisions, set priorities, and own outcomes across cloud, application security, vulnerability management, and incident readiness.
What you’ll do
Own cloud and security across our customer-facing and internal platforms, including application security, cloud architecture, security standards, and operational risk. Review product, engineering, and cloud designs for security and resilience risks before they become production issues. Run threat modeling for new features, integrations, APIs, authentication flows, payments, trading, admin tools, and data handling. Work directly with engineering and Dev Ops teams to identify, prioritize, and resolve vulnerabilities and control gaps across applications, architecture, cloud configuration, CI/CD, secrets, IAM, and access control. Lead secure architecture reviews across web, mobile, backend, AWS, GCP, and third-party integrations. Build a practical security program around the risks that matter most: account takeover, data leakage, privilege escalation, fraud vectors, API abuse, insecure admin access, supply chain risk, and production misconfiguration. Own vulnerability management across applications, cloud assets, dependencies, and infrastructure. Drive penetration testing, security assessments, remediation plans, and follow-through. Set and improve cloud and security controls for identity, access, network boundaries, secrets, logging, alerting, resilience, and production change management. Partner with engineering to make secure delivery part of normal delivery, not a separate ceremony. Support compliance and regulatory expectations with evidence, controls, and clear technical ownership. Prepare the company for security incidents: playbooks, escalation paths, logging coverage, tabletop exercises, and post-incident review. Lead a compact cloud and security function, initially the Head plus one engineer or analyst, including prioritization, work allocation, coaching, and accountability. Work directly with technology leadership on security priorities, trade-offs, and risk acceptance.
Essential skills and experience
10+ years across application security, cloud security, security engineering, platform engineering, Dev Sec Ops, or related technical security roles. Prior experience in fintech, banking, payments, trading, brokerage, crypto, or another regulated environment. Strong practical application security experience at architecture and system level: threat modeling, authentication, authorization, session management, API security, secure design, secrets handling, business logic abuse, and secure SDLC. Strong technical literacy and the ability to work directly with engineers. You should be able to understand and challenge code-level findings, but routine source-code review is not the primary responsibility of this role. Deep practical understanding of cloud architecture and security across AWS and GCP, including the judgment to set standards and challenge implementation decisions. Strong knowledge of IAM, RBAC, networking, WAF, logging, monitoring, secrets management, encryption, key management, and least privilege design. Strong working knowledge of cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, infrastructure as code, Linux, reliability, and production operations. This is not a Kubernetes specialist role. Experience running or coordinating penetration tests, vulnerability scans, dependency scanning, SAST/DAST, cloud posture reviews, and remediation tracking. Good judgment on risk. Able to separate theoretical issues from problems that can actually hurt the business. Experience working with compliance, audit, legal, product, and engineering without turning security into paperwork theatre. Strong written communication. Able to explain technical risk clearly to executives and engineers. Proven experience leading a small technical team while remaining personally hands-on, including setting priorities, allocating work, coaching, and owning outcomes. Our office is in the UAE, and onsite presence is preferred, but we are open to remote candidates.
Strongly preferred
Experience securing trading platforms, investment products, wallets, payments, onboarding/KYC flows, or financial APIs. Experience with modern web, mobile, and backend application stacks. Prior software engineering experience is an advantage. Experience with cloud incident response, breach investigation, forensics basics, or security monitoring. Security certifications such as CISSP, CSSLP, OSCP, AWS Security Specialty, GCP Professional Cloud Security Engineer, or other credible security certifications. Experience with bug bounty programs or external researcher intake. Experience building security programs in companies where engineering speed still matters.
What this role is not
This is not a classic Head of Dev Ops role. This person will not run every deployment or production operations ticket, but will remain accountable for cloud architecture, security standards, and cloud risk. This is not a platform empire role. The priority is effective ownership of cloud and security, not building a large Dev Ops or platform organization. This is not a policy-only security role. This person must be able to inspect systems, review application and cloud architecture, challenge engineering decisions, and work with engineers until material risks are resolved. This is not a large management role. The function is expected to remain compact, initially the Head plus one engineer or analyst.
What success looks like
Our most important applications have clear threat models and known risk owners. Critical vulnerabilities are found earlier and fixed faster. Cloud architecture, production access, secrets, IAM, network boundaries, and admin surfaces are controlled and reviewed. Security issues are tracked with the same seriousness as product and engineering work. Penetration tests produce fewer surprises over time. Engineering teams know what good security looks like and can apply it without waiting for a committee. Leadership has a clear view of real security risk, not a long list of low-value findings.
At Miral, we create world-class destinations and immersive experiences that inspire millions of guests every year. As we continue to expand our digital capabilities and technology landscape, cybersecurity remains at the heart of delivering safe, resilient, and seamless experiences. We are seeking an exceptional Cybersecurity Operations Senior Director to lead our technical security operations function and play a critical role in protecting a complex, large-scale enterprise environment.
About the Role Reporting to the Vice President of Digital & Technology, this strategic leadership role is responsible for driving the design, implementation, and operation of Miral's cybersecurity controls across infrastructure, networks, applications, endpoints, privileged access, and security operations. Oversee detection engineering, use-case development and continuous tuning to reduce false positives and improve mean-time-to-detect and mean-time-to-respond. Lead proactive threat hunting and adversary emulation to validate the resilience of Miral’s technology estate. Identity, Privileged Access & Application Security Operate and continuously improve Privileged Access Management (PAM), identity and access controls, and joiner-mover-leaver enforcement in partnership with IT. Embed application security across the SDLC — secure code review, SAST/DAST, API security and Dev Sec Ops practices. Vulnerability, Patch & Configuration Management Run the enterprise vulnerability management lifecycle — discovery, prioritisation, remediation tracking and reporting — across infrastructure, applications and endpoints. Coordinate patch and configuration management with IT operations to close exposures within agreed SLAs. Incident Response & Cyber Resilience Own the technical cyber incident response capability — preparation, detection, containment, eradication, recovery and post-incident review. Maintain and regularly test incident response playbooks, conduct tabletop exercises, and ensure timely escalation and regulatory notification in coordination with the governance function. Contribute security requirements to business continuity and disaster recovery planning. Compliance, Audit & Reporting (Accountability) Be accountable for the operational effectiveness of all technical security controls and for evidencing compliance during internal and external audits and regulatory assessments. Establish and report security operations KPIs, KRIs, and dashboards to leadership and the governance function. Ensure all security incidents, exceptions, and risks are accurately documented, escalated and remediated to closure. People Leadership Lead, develop, and retain a multidisciplinary team spanning network security, security operations and identity & access, building a high-performance, Emiratisation-aligned talent pipeline. Set objectives, manage performance, and foster a culture of security awareness and continuous improvement. Financial Accountability, Vendor Management & Continuous Improvement Assist in preparing and managing the cybersecurity operations budget, ensuring cost-effective use of security tooling and services and adherence to procurement policies. Manage security vendors, managed service providers and technology partners against defined SLAs and outcomes. Continuously evaluate emerging threats and technologies to mature Miral’s security posture.
What We're Looking For We're looking for a proven cybersecurity leader who combines deep technical expertise with strong business acumen and people leadership skills. Job Title: Project Manager — IT / Digital Delivery Location: Dubai, UAE
ROLE SUMMARY:We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead the end-to-end delivery of technology and digital projects. You will act as the bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams — translating business objectives into deliverable plans, running the Agile ceremonies that keep delivery moving, removing impediments, and holding delivery to scope, schedule, budget, and quality commitments. You will provide regular, clear and credible reporting to senior and executive management, and manage risks, issues, dependencies, and third-party vendors across the project lifecycle. Working knowledge of trading and capital markets is essential for this role.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Project Delivery & Governance* Own project delivery end to end — initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, control and closure — for one or more concurrent technology projects.* Define the project charter: scope, objectives, deliverables, success criteria, assumptions, constraints and governance model.* Build and maintain integrated project plans, roadmaps, milestone schedules, dependency maps and critical path analysis.* Manage project budgets: cost estimation, forecasting, actuals tracking, variance analysis, purchase orders and invoice validation.* Manage resource plans and capacity across internal teams, contractors and vendors.* Operate formal change control — assess and document the impact of scope changes on cost, schedule, quality and risk, and secure the appropriate approvals.* Ensure compliance with PMO standards, SDLC governance, information-security requirements, internal audit and applicable regulatory obligations.* Maintain complete and auditable project documentation and artefacts. Risk, Issue & Dependency Management* Maintain and actively work the RAID log (risks, assumptions, issues, dependencies).* Identify risks early, quantify impact and probability, define mitigation and contingency plans, and assign clear ownership.* Resolve issues at the lowest effective level and escalate promptly and factually when resolution is beyond the project's authority.* Manage cross-project and cross-team dependencies, including infrastructure, security, data, operations and external parties. Stakeholder Management & Communication* Act as the primary point of contact for business stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.* Work with business stakeholders, business analysts and product owners to elicit, challenge and prioritise requirements, and confirm that the delivered solution meets the stated business need.* Chair steering committees and project boards; prepare and present decision papers and options analyses.* Provide regular, accurate status reporting to upper management and executives — progress against plan, budget position, risks, issues, decisions required and forecast completion.* Build and maintain executive dashboards and reporting packs; tailor the level of detail to the audience.* Manage expectations and negotiate trade-offs across scope, time, cost and quality with credibility and transparency.* Manage vendors and third parties: statements of work, deliverable acceptance, service levels, performance reviews and commercial escalation. Agile Delivery* Facilitate Agile ceremonies with the delivery team: sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, sprint reviews and retrospectives.* Work with product owners to keep the backlog healthy — well-formed stories, clear acceptance criteria, correct prioritisation and readiness for sprint.* Track and report delivery metrics: velocity, burndown and burnup, cycle time, throughput, defect trends and release predictability.* Identify and remove impediments blocking the team; protect the team from unmanaged scope change and disruption.* Coach the team and the wider business on Agile practices, and operate hybrid Agile/waterfall approaches where the project or regulatory context requires it.* Drive continuous improvement from retrospective actions and lessons learned. Quality, Release & Transition* Coordinate test planning and execution across system, integration, performance, security and user acceptance testing.* Manage UAT with business stakeholders, including defect triage, prioritisation and sign-off.* Plan and coordinate releases: cutover plans, rollback plans, go/no-go criteria and production readiness reviews.* Manage business readiness — training, communications, process changes and organisational change impacts.* Ensure a clean transition to support operations, including documentation, handover and hypercare.* Run post-implementation reviews, capture lessons learned and track benefits realisation against the business case.
REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:* Minimum 8 years of project management experience delivering IT, software and digital projects end to end, including at least 3 years in an Agile delivery environment.* Proven track record of delivering multiple concurrent projects on time, within budget and to agreed quality standards.* Strong command of both Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe) and traditional/hybrid delivery methodologies (waterfall, stage-gate).* Demonstrated ability to run Agile ceremonies effectively and coach teams in Agile practice.* Strong planning and scheduling skills including work breakdown structures, estimation techniques, dependency management and critical path analysis.* Budget, cost control, resource planning and vendor/contract management experience.* Rigorous risk, issue, dependency and change management discipline.* Excellent executive communication, reporting and presentation skills; able to distil complex technical detail into clear business language.* Strong stakeholder management, negotiation, influencing and conflict-resolution skills across all levels of an organisation.* Sufficient technical literacy to engage credibly with engineering teams — SDLC, APIs and integrations, cloud, web and mobile applications, data and reporting, testing, environments and release management — and to challenge estimates, designs and risk assessments.* Requirements and business-analysis fundamentals: process flows, user stories, acceptance criteria, traceability.* Hands-on proficiency with project and collaboration tooling such as Jira, Azure Dev Ops, Confluence, Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, Share Point and Power BI or equivalent reporting tools.* Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and Power Point for analysis and executive reporting.* Working knowledge of trading and capital markets is essential — including the trade lifecycle (order origination, routing, execution, clearing and settlement), market data, brokerage and exchange operations, post-trade processes, and the regulatory and compliance environment in which they operate.* Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
PREFERRED / ADVANTAGEOUS:* Professional certification such as PMP, PRINCE2, PMI-ACP, Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM) or SAFe.* Arabic language proficiency (spoken and written) — preferred.* Experience delivering projects for an exchange, brokerage, bank, asset manager or fintech.* Experience managing regulatory, compliance-driven or audited technology programmes.* Experience managing systems integrators and offshore or distributed delivery teams.* Formal change-management training (for example Prosci / ADKAR).* Experience with ITIL service transition, or with programme-level or portfolio-level delivery.* Experience introducing or improving PMO processes, templates and delivery governance.
QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATION:* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business Administration or a related discipline.
