Success in this position is defined by the ability to safeguard assets, improve operational efficiency, and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and company policies.</p><p><br><strong>What You Will Do:</strong></p><p>Compliance Management</p><ul><li><p>Review contractual obligations and ensure compliance with Group Policies across UAE, Oman, Qatar, and Egypt.</p></li><li><p>Assist in formalizing and implementing operational and financial controls to mitigate risk and improve operational efficiency.</p></li><li><p>Manage business ethics policies, including anti-corruption and anti-money laundering policies.</p></li><li><p>Review new processes and training materials from a risk aversion perspective.</p></li><li><p>Implement and oversee monitoring activities for loss prevention.</p></li><li><p>Draft and review terms and conditions for promotional activities in consultation with Legal Counsel.</p></li><li><p>Assist Head of Finance/GM BD & Finance on additional assignments as required.</p></li></ul><br><p>Contracts Management</p><ul><li><p>Review contracts based on Group Procurement Policy for commerciality and risk in coordination with Group Legal.</p></li><li><p>Ensure that contracts meet franchise requirements and IWAY compliance.</p></li><li><p>Coordinate with Service Office and store teams for Non-Merchandise Procurements.</p></li><li><p>Secure necessary approvals for contracts and policy compliance.</p></li><li><p>Maintain a live directory of all approved company contracts.</p></li><li><p>Coordinate with Group Tax to ensure timely filing of reportable contracts.</p></li></ul><br><p>Audit & SOP</p><ul><li><p>Support internal audits in stores, including entry and exit meetings.</p></li><li><p>Analyze Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and suggest operational guideline changes.</p></li><li><p>Implement improvements in existing processes to enhance operational efficiency.</p></li><li><p>Ensure promotional terms and conditions align with SOPs.</p></li><li><p>Identify areas where new SOPs are required and assist in creation.</p></li></ul><br><p>Business Development & Expansion</p><ul><li><p>Coordinate projects and meetings with stakeholders.</p></li><li><p>Review and advise on lease agreements and franchise agreements for new stores.</p></li><li><p>Engage in project testing and walkthroughs to ensure successful implementation.</p></li></ul><br><p>Loss Prevention</p><ul><li><p>Assist with the enhancement of SOPs based on audit findings, internal frauds, or identified gaps.</p></li><li><p>Engage in internal investigations and ensure closure.</p></li><li><p>Monitor and follow up on investigations to prevent loss.</p></li></ul></li></ul><p><strong>Desired Candidate Profile</strong></p><ul><li><p><strong>Required Skills To Be Successful:</strong></p><ul><li><p>Excellent communication skills for liaising with internal and external stakeholders.</p></li><li><p>Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint to analyze data and prepare reports.</p></li><li><p>Strong analytical skills to assess risk and compliance measures effectively.</p></li><li><p>Good presentation skills to convey complex compliance and legal concepts succinctly.</p></li></ul><p><br><strong>What Qualifies You For The Role:</strong></p><ul><li><p>Post Graduate Bachelor of Laws degree.</p></li><li><p>3-5 years of experience in contract reviews, process compliance or auditing, preferably within the retail sector.</p></li><li><p>Certification in compliance or a related field is preferred.</p></li><li><p>Legal knowledge, specifically in contractual law, coupled with strong analytical and interpersonal skills.</p></li></ul><br></li></ul>
