Provide technical advice and pro-active support to the various business units (UAE and World-Wide) on all matters involving the management and recovery of insurance claims.</span></p><br><br><p><strong><span>In this role, you will: </span></strong></p><br><br><ul><li><span>Manage the Insurance Claims team and ensure the timely recovery of claims under all of the classes/types of insurance - for all of Emirates Group and its Joint Venture Companies, UAE and worldwide. Given that each claim is different in its nature, circumstances, complexity, territory/jurisdiction and magnitude, the job holder is required to possess and exhibit extensive knowledge of the intricacies and sensitivities involved in each and must possess full insurance technical knowledge, and comprehension, of the cover, implications and requirements of the various insurance policies (eg. Property, Casualty, Financial Lines, Life/Personal Accident, Marine, Motor Vehicle, etc.) that could get triggered for the purpose of claims recovery.</span></li><li><span>Analyse and evaluate insurance policy coverage terms, conditions, exclusions and warranties relevant to the incident and operations of the business unit and determine the implications on recovery, or otherwise, from insurers and external parties in order to strategize claims processing and recoveries.</span></li><li><span>Ensure timely notification of claims to underwriters, surveyors, loss adjusters, solicitors, and responsible third parties in order to comply with statutory insurance, insurance and legal requirements - thereby securing each business units right of claim against insurers and third parties involved. The nature of the job requires the job holder to have extensive dealings and interactions at all levels within each such entity in the UAE and globally depending upon the territory and jurisdiction involved.</span></li><li><span>Based on review of all information / material / data and financials assimilated - comprehensively brief the business unit concerned of the various insurance dimensions and sensitivities that impact a claim and then initiate, attend and conduct insurance surveys by underwriters, surveyors, and loss adjusters, solicitors with the objective of making an initial and final assessment of the damage / loss.</span></li><li><span>The job holder is required to influence and negotiate a plan of repairs or replacement, acceptable to the business unit, secure admissibility of a claim from loss adjustors and insurers, arrange for optimum sale value of salvage and obtain the release of maximum interim claim payment pending formalisation of the final claim amount.</span></li><li><span>Advise business unit on the capture of all financial elements of a claim which are recoverable under the terms of the insurance policy, ranging from cost of external repairs / replacement / internal material and man-hours and all such other insured costs incurred as a result of the incident, so as to then compile and quantify all insured losses; scrutinise additional financial benefits available under the insurance policy so as to optimise maximum recovery of claim in favour of the business unit.</span></li><li><span>Evaluate recovery potential of controversial, grey area or disputed claims and recommend acceptance of ex-gratia or compromised settlements based on technical assessment of insurance implication and potential for full recovery or otherwise.</span></li><li><span>Maintain a comprehensive and up-dated data base of all claims and computing loss ratios and trends for the purpose of assisting in the departments analysis of risk, claims profile and loss prevention techniques relevant to each business unit.</span></li><li><span>Provide managerial and technical support to the Insurance Claims team in handling, management and recovery of all high value, complex and long tail legal liability insurance claims involving manufacturers (aircraft and non aircraft), suppliers, vendors, repairers, insurers, surveyors and loss adjustors, solicitors, as also on all matters of Corporate 'crisis management and emergency response planning' involving aircraft disasters, legal liability claims involving death / injuries to passengers, baggage, cargo and third parties - in multi jurisdictions and highly litigious territories Job holder is required to be aware of the sensitivities involved and must exhibit a responsive approach, coupled with the ability to cope with stressful situations involving a catastrophe.</span></li></ul>Qualification<p><strong><span>In order to be considered for this role, you must meet the following requirements: </span></strong></p><br><br><ul><li><span>At least 10 years of experience in Insurance Claims Management.</span></li><li><span>A minimum of a Bachelors Degree in Business or Law.</span></li><li><span>Insurance degree or diploma preferred.</span></li><li><span>Experience at a middle management level in managing insurance, liability and indemnity related aspects in Contracts in a multinational Corporation with large and diverse global operations and exposures.</span></li></ul><p><span><strong><span>You'll have an edge if you have: </span></strong></span></p><br><br><ul><li><span>The ability to be innovative in solving complex insurance claims issues.</span></li><li><span>Analytical capability to interpret and analyse contracts, policy wordings, international conventions and relevant legislation and apply these to claims.</span></li><li><span>Knowledge of business and industry practices, as also regulatory and statutory provisions.</span></li><li><span>Knowledge of legalities and intricacies involving insurance programs.</span></li></ul><p><span>At Emirates Group, we’re committed to providing our employees with opportunities to grow and develop in their careers. Job Description<br><br>To manage and oversee crewing operations within the Maritime Cluster, ensuring efficient, compliant, and timely crew deployment to support operational needs. The role is responsible for supervising crewing activities, optimizing crew utilization, and ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and company standards.<br><br>Responsibilities<br><br>Core Responsibilities:<br><br>Manage day-to-day crewing operations across the Maritime Cluster, ensuring timely and compliant crew deployment in line with operational requirements. Oversee crew planning, rotations, and vessel assignments to ensure optimal crew utilization and minimal operational disruption. Supervise and support the crewing team in executing recruitment, onboarding, and mobilization of seafarers. Ensure all crew documentation, certifications, and records are accurate, up-to-date, and compliant with regulatory and company standards. Monitor crew performance, attendance, and conduct, addressing any issues related to grievances, discipline, or welfare in coordination with relevant stakeholders. Collaborate closely with Operations, Fleet, HR, and external partners to ensure smooth execution of crewing activities. Track crewing-related costs and support in identifying opportunities for cost optimization and efficiency improvements. Ensure compliance with maritime labor laws, international regulations, and internal policies related to crew management. Maintain effective relationships with manning agencies, training institutes, and other external partners. Support audits and inspections by ensuring all crewing practices and documentation meet required standards. People Management Responsibilities:Provide day-to-day supervision and guidance to the crewing team, ensuring tasks are delivered effectively and on time. Support team development through on-the-job coaching and performance feedback. JOB DETAILS:<br>Position Title: Crewing Officer Reports To: Diving Operations Manager Department: Diving Salary : AED 7000 - 8000 pmlocation : Abu Dhabi<br>JOB PURPOSE:To provide day-to-day operational and diving personnel support to DP vessels, barges, and projects. The role works under general supervision, providing daily support to crewing coordinators and managing all aspects of personnel mobilization and demobilization for offshore operations.<br>KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:Responsibilities:<br>* Compile and maintain a Master Certification Register for all approved diving and associated offshore personnel, linked to the personnel management system.* Maintain updated crew rotation plans and ensure execution of agreed crewing strategies.* Ensure all diving certificates and personnel documents are genuine and compliant with HSE, IMCA, and company's requirements.* Liaise with the Diving Operations Manager (DOM) to assist in planning crew changes and ad-hoc diving personnel movements.* Coordinate with Project Managers to support the preparation and planning of diving personnel requirements for ongoing and upcoming projects.* Ensure visa and work permit requirements are fully understood where required and allow sufficient time for processing to meet project schedules.* Ensure all personnel movements and working details are accurately recorded and submitted to payroll.* Manage travel and accommodation requirements for offshore personnel where required.* Liaise with other logistics coordinators to ensure crew changes are coordinated with maximum efficiency.<br>Performance indicator:* Provide assistance to managers on employee relations matters and during disciplinary investigations, attending hearings and appeals while providing professional support and advice.* Respond to queries from diving personnel regarding employment matters as and when they arise.* Review and approve appropriate compensation adjustments and recommendations, process and verify personnel expense claims.* Formulate recommendations for hiring strategies.* Design and maintain relevant dashboards to produce reliable reports on crewing statistics for the purpose of data sharing and analysis, focusing on operational efficiencies and cost savings in designated crew costs, including travel, overlap, etc.* Prepare and manage crew training and development plans.<br>COMPETENCIES:* Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.* Excellent communication skills in English.* Strong numerical ability, logical thinking, and creative report-writing skills.* Excellent coordination skills with different departments.* Ability to work effectively and deliver results.
Job Purpose Lead the overall planning, execution, control, and handover of assigned projects, including project scheduling, resource planning, cost management, engineering coordination, procurement monitoring, construction execution, stakeholder coordination, and close-out, while ensuring compliance with contractual requirements, QHSE standards, and client satisfaction.<br>Job Duties Project Management Activities Build and maintain a solid and positive relationship with the client and project stakeholders; promptly resolve occurring issues, secure alignment with various parties, and maintain efficient communication to ensure the highest level of satisfaction. Manage project communication with consultants, clients, subcontractors, vendors, interface contractors, and authorities, securing contract requirements and protecting the Company’s rights and interests accordingly. Review project documents and contract conditions at the tendering phase and provide relevant remarks, observations, and assistance, as well as contribute to preparing the Tender Stage Execution Plan. Prepare the execution phase by defining project scope, plans, schedule, and requirements, and oversee the engineering phase, ensuring timely completion of design documents and related deliverables to support procurement and construction. Set up the project construction plans and methodology, as well as reporting procedures, including productivity and progress reports, cost reports, labor and material reports, site procedures, rules and regulations, and document/drawing control methods and procedures, in accordance with contract requirements and company standards. Obtain all necessary permits, documents, and licenses as per scope of work, interface requirements, and local statutory authorities’ rules and regulations. Identify, request, and ensure proper mobilization, based on the loaded schedule, of all machinery, equipment, and human resources/manpower required to execute the works; coordinate requirements with concerned departments based on the project schedule and available resources in the Area. Secure additional resources as and when needed in full coordination with the Operations Manager, as well as oversee and control the HR/Administration and PMV managers’ activities on site in coordination with Area HR and Area PMV Managers. Select the project team in coordination with the Operations Manager and Operations Director and seek final approval from the Managing Director; define objectives, provide/request training and management support, and continuously evaluate the team’s performance. Oversee and manage the preparation of Procurement and Subcontract Plans based on the project schedule and required deliverables. Manage, monitor, guide, and supervise the project procurement and subcontract functions on site, including project stores, to ensure timely purchase/delivery of temporary and permanent material and execution of subcontracts, as per scope, schedule, and technical requirements. Ensure, in coordination and collaboration with the concerned functional heads, that required performance needs, warranties, guarantees, and insurances are provided as per contract and company requirements. Oversee the execution of the project to ensure that construction activities progress according to the predetermined schedule and budget, while maintaining strict adherence to QHSE standards. Synchronize the efforts of all stakeholders in the project, including but not limited to architects, consultants, contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and internal resources, to ensure that the project works are completed as per client requirements, schedule, milestones, required quality, and within budget. Handle the administration of project contracts; negotiate revisions, changes, and additions to contractual agreements with concerned parties in coordination with the Operations Manager, Operations Director, and Area Contracts Manager, and secure the final approval of the Managing Director, including claims, and resolve occurring disputes. Maintain the project budget; review and validate purchase orders and invoices, negotiate variations with the client in the best interest of the Company to secure project profitability, and ensure timely payment by the client and to vendors/subcontractors with the full coordination and support of both the procurement and accounts department functional heads. Investigate damage, accidents, or delays at the construction site, and ensure that proper corrective action is taken. Ensure that progress payments, progress reports, subcontractor/vendor invoices, cost tracking reports, and project documentation are always checked for correctness and compliance and are submitted on time to concerned parties as per set policies. Stay abreast of new governmental rules, regulations, and restrictions, and always ensure compliance.
