<br> Job Purpose <br><p>Manage, supervise and control the development and implementation of a diverse range of major Multi-disciplined engineering projects from initial inception through to completion and handover, relating to new plants, facilities and modifications to existing plant and systems. In addition, to ensure optimal and economic development of projects consistent with Shareholders guidelines.</p><br><br><br>Job Specific Accountabilities (Part 1) <br><p>• Lead/provide technical input into proposal/conceptual developments; coordinates design, materials specification and technically manages procurement and contract tendering stages.<br>• Interface with external parties, and ensures that appropriate codes, practices and standards are.<br>• Manage Project Management Consultant(s) and ensures that effective site supervision and project administration is carried out; provides information to management on project progress.<br>• Lead teams in developing strategies for implementation of Major development projects<br>• Direct the project management teams through all phases of project execution i.e. from project initiation up to commissioning and start up.<br>• Manage multinational contractors ensuring that projects are implemented in accordance with sound project management principles in full compliance with HSE requirements/guidelines within the specified time, cost and other set objectives.<br>• Lead and/or participate in divisional or companywide committees, as assigned and provide guidance and expertise in his area of specialization and lead related discussions and meetings.<br>• Direct and coordinate the activities of teams of multi-discipline engineers in a designated Field. Performs supervisory functions and exercises financial authority at the level established by management for the position.<br>• Review a variety of source material and participate in a range of meetings to establish future project requirements in the assigned field. Provides basic technical and administrative input to take projects from initial inception stage to drafting and submission of requirements proposals. Includes defining, revising and refining scopes and objectives, obtaining or arranging to obtain background data on potential cost and technical feasibility, and advising alternatives where appropriate. <br>• Participate in the refinement of initial proposals into coherent viable project plans. Directs and participates in the revision and refinement of initial project designs, specifications, costs, and phasing preparation of project strategy in conjunction with user department and other divisions such Finance, Commercial Support, etc.<br>• Initiate and approve the preparation of overall work programs, terms of reference for contractors, projects standards and working procedures. Establishes the basis for project execution phase.<br>• Ensure that all projects are implemented in accordance with sound project management principles and established Company procedures and standards. Initiates/manages pre-qualification of bidders list, exercises overall control over the budget and cost of the project and each contract, vetting authorization for expenditure. Reviews and endorses contract purchase and subcontracts recommendations and variation orders throughout all phases of the project and ensures that approved plans are updated accordingly.<br>• Ensure the preparation of the Department’s safety program on the project and oversees compliance with the Company’s safety rules and regulations. Evaluates and audits adherence to same and takes necessary remedial measures to correct and overcome deficiencies.</p><br><br><br>Job Specific Accountabilities (Part 2) <br><p>• Ensure that the project is executed in a safe manner and that all contractors adhere to approved safety procedures and method statements for carrying out works / contracts awarded.<br>• Advise Management of anticipated completion date of the project for subsequent start up planning. Assist in development of start-up plan and manning requirements. Authorizes alternate studies such as shop vs. field fabricated pipe, concrete vs. Steel structures etc. and agree in consultation on completion of portions of the plant for acceptance by end user.<br>• Coordinate overall financial matters pertaining to the project, such as currency requirements and restrictions, import duty exceptions, financial forecasts, etc.<br>• Carry out other similar related duties such as attending Tender Board Meetings, reporting on the financial situation of the project. Appraises contractor’s overall performance for quality, cost, schedule and safety and ensures corrective actions are taken. Prepares weekly highlights and monthly progress reports covering all engineering, procurement and construction activities.<br>• Accountable for efficiently managing all projects within budgets and in accordance with Company policies, directives, engineering and project management standards. Poor decisions can involve significant financial losses due to changes of scope, re-work and program delays e.g. the possible consequences of lost production targets.<br>• Sets and oversees observance of quality and control standards for all activities carried out under his jurisdiction in assigned projects.<br>• Develop and manage definition, design and execution of projects to meet company’s objectives and guidelines on field development activities.<br>• Manage the technical integrity of surface facilities and project cost are maintained throughout the project life cycle.<br>• Deliver major development projects within the set targets on HSE, quality, cost and schedule<br>• Recommend acceptance / rejection of work programs and proposals related to his project execution and implementation.</p><br><br><br>Job Specific Accountabilities (Part 3) <br><br>Generic Accountabilities <br><p><strong>Management</strong><br>• Plan and supervise the activities of the personnel and resources of the Department to achieve the Division objectives in an efficient and cost-conscious manner while ensuring implementation of approved operational plans for the Department in line with Division objectives.<br>• Develop the knowledge, competencies and innovative spirit in the Department and support the establishment of Personal Development Plans (PDP’s), Succession Planning and Talent pipeline within the Department in coordination with the Human Capability Group to continuously develop employees with emphasis on UAE Nationals to meet Emiratization targets.<br><strong>Budgets and Operational Plans</strong><br>• Compile and provide input for preparation of the Division budgets and regularly monitor expenditure against approved the Department budget levels.<br>• Investigate, highlight and reconcile any significant variances to ensure effective performance and cost control.<br><strong>Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures</strong><br>• Lead the implementation of approved Department policies, processes, systems, standards, procedures and internal controls in order to support execution of the Division work programs in line with Company and International standards.<br><strong>Performance Management </strong><br>• Implement the Company Performance Management System for individuals within the Department in accordance with Company approved guidelines and continuously monitor the achievement of the Department KPIs related to the approved Annual Performance Management Contract and the Balanced Score Card.<br><strong>Organisation Structure and Development</strong><br>• Review, develop and recommend the appropriate organisation structure for the Department that will best utilise human capital while proactively incorporating sustainability into the on-going work practices to meet the business objectives.<br><strong>Innovation and Continuous Improvement</strong><br>• Encourage innovation, enhance employee motivation and support initiatives for implementation of Change Management to continuously improve operations and services.<br>• Propose improvements in internal processes against best practices in pursuit of greater efficiency in line with ISO standards in order to define intelligent solutions for issues confronting the Department.<br><strong>Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) and Sustainability</strong><br>• Support the institution of an HSE culture and ensure compliance with relevant HSE policies, procedures, systems & controls and applicable legislation and sustainability guidelines across the Department in line with international standards, best practices and ADNOC Code of Practices.<br>• Ensure adequate HSE training and induction for all Department employees to meet HSE standards.<br><strong>Management Information Systems (MIS) and Reports</strong><br>• Prepare all Department MIS and progress reports to provide accurate and timely reports and necessary information to <span><br>POSITION SUMMARY<br>The Sales Executive – Outside Catering Sales is responsible for leading the strategic and proactive catering sales efforts for JW Marriott Marquis Dubai. This role is pivotal in achieving catering revenue goals, enhancing guest and associate satisfaction, and implementing Marriott’s brand service strategy across all aspects of the outside catering sales process. The Sales Executive actively upsells each business opportunity to maximize revenue opportunity, accurate forecasting, and strategic decision-making around the hotel’s outside catering initiatives. Employees who are based in those locations will be expected to work from the office on designated days approximately 2-3 days per week (or more depending on role). Depending on answer(s) received, determine whether answer is to be provided only to the company raising queries, or to all companies invited as an update to earlier scope information. <br>• Receive, participate/review and compile EOI / Prequalification response from invited companies, prepare a standard correspondence memorandum for forwarding received information and documents to End User for review or evaluation. <br>• Review End User response to EOI / Prequalification exercise, due diligence check that response aligns with information / documents received, with no anomalies – arithmetically check any prequalification evaluation scoring. <br>• Receive End User Contract Request (CR) through SAP Ariba (as allocated by CDM), reviews content of CR against previously established checklist of items informed to End User as to information / documents to be submitted with CR and determine whether:- 1) the CR is accepted as being complete for Tender purposes, or 2) CR is to be rejected due to being incomplete (formally confirm to CDM / CDVP to reject in SAP Ariba).<br>• Prepare write-up listing CR missing information and documents to be submitted by End User; CDM to review and issue when rejecting submitted CR. </p><br><br><br>Job Specific Accountabilities2 <br><p>• Receive End User updated Contract Request (CR) through SAP Ariba (as allocated by CDM) and as earlier, review content of updated CR against previously established checklist of items informed to End User, so as to confirm to CDM / CDVP that CR can be accepted as complete for Tender purposes.<br>• Prepare Contract Development Plan for the Tender and Award of Services / Works upon receipt of complete & acceptable CR, in co-ordination with CDM and in agreement with End User.<br>• Prepare Recommendation for Bidders List and Tender Strategy for approval by Management / Tender Board as per the Delegation of Authority.<br>• Determine in co-ordination with CDM the applicable Request for Tender (RFT) document to be selected from the General Procurement Initiative (GPI) suite of standard template RFTs and thereafter, using a Contracts Division checklist commence preparing and compiling the RFT from the CR documents for subsequent review by CDM and amendment as necessary. <br>• Upon receipt of approval of the Bidders List and Tender Strategy, prepares standard correspondence Bid invitation within SAP Ariba system, for review / endorsement by CDM, followed by review and issue by CDVP, with Bid document attached. Ensures Bidders formally confirm receipt of Bid document. <br>• Review and endorse standard memorandum (to be review and issued by CDM) for forwarding RFT document to End User for review and reference during the Bid Period.<br>• Following issue of the RFT and prior to the Bid submittal date, to co-ordinate, handle, arrange, prepare and formally in writing record for transparency and audit purposes the following activities: </p><br><p>a) Receive Bidders’ request for Letter of Assistance (as applicable), review and endorse standard memorandum to Human Capital & Administration (HC&A) requesting Letters, receive Letters from HC&A and review and endorse standard letter informing Bidders to collect and process security passes for the forthcoming site visit.</p><br><p>b) Follow Contracts Division checklist to co-ordinate and arrange with End User a Bid Clarification Meeting and Site Visit, together with inform Bidders of the arrangements and procedures to follow. Attends Bid Clarification Meeting and Site Visit. </p><br><p>c) Receive Bidder queries through the SAP Ariba system, segregate as to who provides an answer (i.e. End User, Procurement, Legal, Finance, etc.) and obtain formal written answers to queries raised. Obtain contractor confirmation of receipt of Contract.<br>b) Review / endorse standard regret letter informing unsuccessful Bidders of the close of the Bid process.<br>• Prepare and follow Contracts Division Checklist of items to be raised / addressed with End User’s Contracts Administrator prior to the Kick-off meeting with the appointed Contractor, together with those items to be raised / addressed to the appointed Contractor by the Contracts Administrator during the Kick-off Meeting. CDM & CDVP to be kept informed of Contracts Administrator’s arranged Kick-off meeting, should there be a need to attend. </p><br><br><br>Minimum Qualification <br><p>Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering discipline (preferably Civil, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or Quantity Surveying) or equivalent.</p><br><br><br>Minimum Experience, Knowledge & Skills <br><p>• 6 years of professional experience in contract development, preferably in an oil / gas or petrochemical environment.<br>• Sound knowledge of commercial practices, legal aspects and negotiation skills.<br>• Computer literate and able to use or quickly adapt to specialized software utilized by ADNOC.<br>• Fluent in English. Fluency in Arabic is an advantage.<br>• Knowledge of contract law and commercial practice.<br>• Drafting terms and conditions of contract.<br>• Knowledge of key areas, such as indemnities, insurances, guarantees, warranties, liquidated damages, etc.<br>• Excellent communication skills, both verbally and written.<br>• Ability to lead issues and proactively obtain resolution to problems.<br>• Ability to work on own initiative, without close supervision.<br>• Good negotiation skills.<br>• Able to handle multiple contract interactions (multi-tasking), manage a high workload, work in a demanding environment and demonstrate commitment. <br>• End User focused, responsive with positive outlook.<br>• Decisive and confident.<br>• Experience of working in a commercial / projects / business role and interfacing and liaising directly with Contractors, Consultants, etc.<br>• Extensive experience and expertise in tender development, preparation and evaluation.<br>• Thorough knowledge and understanding of Oil and Gas Industry’s Operations.<br>• Demonstrated experience in Contract Management.<br>• Good organizational and project management skills.<br>• High level problem solving skills to resolve complex and sensitive issues.<br>• Proficiency in the use of a range of office software.<br>• Interfacing with the Legal, Finance and Insurance Team.<br>• Safety Awareness <br>- Take responsibility for supporting and developing the Health and Safety programme for the Department.<br>- Set an example for all employees and demonstrating commitment to the Company’s Health and Safety Policies and Safety Promotions.<br>- Inform and train employees in the Department so they can participate in the development and maintenance of safe and healthy working conditions and systems, plus at all times to encourage workers to work safely and without risk to health.<br>- Identify, control and report hazards or incidents.</p><br><br><br>Professional Certifications <br><p>Professional qualifications, such as MRICS (Full Member of Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors), etc. Additional qualification in Business Administration / Legal will be preferred).</p><br><br><br><br><br> </div>
