<p>Our International Project Management & Engineering consultancy client has a new requirement for a well experienced consultant Project Manager - Roads & Transportation to join their team in Abu Dhabi, UAE to work on new roads and transportation projects. Successful candidates will have a proven background as a Project Manager on large scale civil infrastructure, roads and highways projects in the UAE and the wider GCC.
This role is available for immediate joining and is a direct hire, permanent opportunity employed by our client.
Key Responsibilities:
The Project Manager will lead and manage the delivery of complex roads and transportation infrastructure projects in Abu Dhabi, ensuring compliance with local authority standards, achievement of project objectives, and successful coordination across multidisciplinary teams. The role requires strong technical understanding, authority interface experience, and proven leadership across the full project lifecycle.
• Lead the delivery of roads and transportation projects from concept and preliminary design through detailed design, tendering, and construction support.
• Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, risks, quality, and contractual requirements to ensure successful project execution.
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients, authorities, stakeholders, and project teams. • Ensure timely submission of deliverables, approvals, permits, NOCs, and achievement of project milestones.
• Manage project programmes using Primavera P6 or MS Project, including planning, progress monitoring, reporting, critical path analysis, and recovery planning.
• Oversee authority and stakeholder submissions, approvals, and compliance with Abu Dhabi regulations and standards.
• Manage variation orders, contractual matters, and commercial coordination with clients and stakeholders.
• Provide technical leadership across roads, highways, bridges, utilities, drainage, landscape, active mobility, and BIM disciplines.
• Review and approve technical deliverables, reports, drawings, and models, ensuring quality and compliance.
• Resolve interface issues, support decision-making, and drive on-time project delivery.
• Mentor engineers, promote best practices, and foster a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.</p><p>Project Manager - Roads & Transportation Experience:
