<ul><li>Lead and manage the Civil Design Section for EPC substation projects.</li><li>Plan, organize, and monitor civil engineering activities throughout the project lifecycle.</li><li>Review, approve, and authorize all civil engineering calculations, drawings, specifications, reports, and technical documents before client submission.</li><li>Ensure compliance with project specifications, utility requirements, applicable international standards, and local authority regulations.</li><li>Develop engineering execution plans, design schedules, and resource allocation plans.</li><li>Supervise the design of:<ul><li>Substation control buildings</li><li>GIS and AIS equipment foundations</li><li>Power transformer foundations</li><li>Reactor and capacitor foundations</li><li>Cable trenches</li><li>Underground utility networks</li><li>Internal roads and pavements</li><li>Drainage systems</li><li>Oil containment pits</li><li>Firewater tanks</li><li>Boundary walls and security fencing</li><li>Site grading and earthworks</li><li>Steel structure foundations</li></ul></li><li>Ensure constructability, maintainability, and cost-effective engineering solutions.</li><li>Lead value engineering initiatives to optimize project costs without compromising quality or safety.</li><li>Coordinate with Electrical, Structural, Mechanical, Protection & Control, Telecom, BIM, Procurement, and Construction teams.</li><li>Participate in interdisciplinary design reviews and engineering coordination meetings.</li><li>Liaise with clients, consultants, utility companies, subcontractors, and local authorities regarding technical matters.</li><li>Review vendor drawings and ensure compatibility with civil design requirements.</li><li>Monitor engineering progress against project schedules.</li><li>Identify engineering risks and implement mitigation measures.</li><li>Provide technical support during procurement, construction, testing, commissioning, and project close-out.</li><li>Resolve site technical queries (TQs), RFIs, and engineering deviations.</li><li>Participate in factory acceptance tests (FAT) and site inspections when required.</li><li>Ensure engineering deliverables comply with:<ul><li>IEC Standards</li><li>BS Standards</li><li>Eurocodes</li><li>ACI</li><li>AISC</li><li>ASTM</li><li>ASCE</li><li>Client specifications</li><li>Company engineering procedures</li></ul></li><li>Conduct design verification and internal technical reviews.</li><li>Ensure engineering documents are issued according to project document control procedures.</li><li>Implement lessons learned and continuous improvement initiatives.</li></ul> <ul><li>Bachelor's degree in civil engineering.</li><li>Master's Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering is an advantage.</li><li>Professional Engineer (PE) or equivalent certification is preferred.</li><li>Minimum <strong>12–15 years</strong> of civil engineering experience.</li><li>Minimum <strong>5 years</strong> in a supervisory or section head role.</li><li>Extensive experience in <strong>EPC High Voltage Substation projects (132kV, 220kV, 400kV)</strong>.</li><li>Strong experience with utility clients such as <strong>TAQA, DEWA, TRANSCO, ADNOC, SEC, or similar</strong> is highly desirable.</li><li>Proven experience managing multidisciplinary engineering teams.</li></ul> </div>
