<p>We are recruiting for a Head of Battery & Energy Storage to join a greenfield advanced aerospace programme based in Dubai. This is a senior engineering leadership role with responsibility for building the battery and energy storage capability from the ground up and delivering battery hardware through qualification and testing. You will own the delivery plan, schedule, cost, team, test capability and supplier performance for the battery domain. During the early phase of the programme, you will also remain technically hands on, acting as the pack architect and ensuring design decisions support the aircraft's performance, safety and certification objectives. Key Responsibilities Build and lead the Battery & Energy Storage engineering team, recruiting specialist engineers in a highly competitive global market. Own the battery development plan, schedule, estimates, resources and cost. Develop cell characterisation, abuse, propagation and high voltage test capability. Establish facilities, equipment, procedures and safety controls ahead of the qualification campaign. Act as battery pack architect during the early programme phase, supporting pack sizing, layout and design reviews. Lead delivery of battery hardware through development, testing and qualification.
