Job Description<br><br>This position is based in ICAD, Abu Dhabi Office.<br><br>STRATEGIC<br><br>Support the development and execution of maintenance strategies that enhance asset reliability, operational efficiency, and lifecycle performance of electrical systems across managed facilities and projects. Contribute to business growth by identifying value-added services, improvement opportunities, and potential maintenance contracts while maintaining strong customer relationships and service excellence. Participate in annual budgeting, resource planning, and forecasting activities to optimize manpower, material utilization, and maintenance costs. Drive continuous improvement initiatives through analysis of equipment performance, maintenance trends, and root cause failures to improve operational effectiveness and reduce downtime. Ensure alignment of maintenance operations with organizational objectives, contractual commitments, industry best practices, and OHSE standards while fostering a culture of safety, quality, and customer focus.<br><br>OPERATIONAL<br><br> Execute and supervise preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities for electrical systems and equipment in accordance with contractual requirements, OEM recommendations, and applicable standards. Perform troubleshooting and fault diagnosis of electrical equipment including Low Voltage (LV) Panels, Air Circuit Breakers (ACBs), Diesel Generator Sets (DGS), Synchronization Panels, UPS Systems, DC Systems and Battery Banks. Respond promptly to breakdowns and service requests to ensure minimum downtime and compliance with contractual KPI/SLA requirements. Assess equipment failures and take appropriate technical decisions to restore operations safely and efficiently. Determine manpower, tools, spare parts, and material requirements necessary for maintenance activities. Monitor maintenance schedules and ensure all assigned work orders are completed within agreed timelines. Verify completion of maintenance activities and obtain customer signoffs and service completion certifications. Coordinate and supervise subcontractors to ensure compliance with contract specifications, safety requirements, and quality standards. Maintain accurate maintenance records, reports, and documentation. Ensure optimum utilization of manpower, materials, tools, and equipment while minimizing wastage and operational costs. Support mobilization and execution of annual shutdowns, emergency maintenance, and special projects when required. <br><br>PEOPLE MANAGEMENT<br><br> Provide technical guidance, coaching, and mentoring to technicians and junior team members. Allocate work assignments and monitor team productivity and performance. Promote a culture of safety, accountability, teamwork, and continuous learning. Support skill development initiatives and competency enhancement programs for maintenance personnel. Ensure all personnel comply with company policies, procedures, and safety requirements. <br><br>PRODUCT/PROCESS IMPROVEMENT<br><br> Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability, operational efficiency, and maintenance effectiveness. Recommend corrective actions and long-term solutions to recurring equipment failures. Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) and implementation of preventive measures. Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing service quality, reducing downtime, and optimizing maintenance costs. Contribute to the development and enhancement of maintenance procedures, checklists, and work instructions. <br><br>ELGIBILITY CRITERIA<br><br> Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from a recognized university and relevant Electrical Safety Certification. HSE Training Certifications (e.g., IOSH, NEBOSH, or equivalent) preferred. OEM training/certification on Diesel Generators, UPS Systems, Switchgear, or Power Distribution Systems is an advantage. Valid UAE Driving License preferred. Minimum 5–8 years of experience in electrical maintenance operations within industrial, commercial, facilities management, utilities, or infrastructure environments. Proven hands-on experience in troubleshooting critical electrical systems and power distribution equipment. Experience in managing subcontractors and maintenance teams. Experience in customer-facing maintenance contracts with defined KPI/SLA requirements. UAE/GCC experience preferred. Strong knowledge of electrical maintenance principles and industry best practices. Expertise in troubleshooting and maintenance of LV Switchgear and Panels, Air Circuit Breakers (ACBs), Diesel Generator Sets (DGS), Synchronization Systems, UPS Systems, DC Systems and Battery Banks. Understanding of power distribution systems, protection systems, and electrical safety standards. Knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance methodologies. Engage with Sub-ordinates & Peers for Empowering and Enhancing life.<br><br>Operational<br><br> Ensure execution of project activities as per project plan and ensure availability of required materials, man hours, and skill levels to carry out site activities. Allocates work to subordinates and contractors, checks progress providing instructions and advice as necessary and ensures that works are completed confirming to established work standards and statutory requirements. To ensure that records and files of work performed, in progress, and work completed are available and maintained. Prepares regular work reports. Daily reports, Monthly reports, staff/contractor appraisal reports, indicating activities carried out. Close follow up with Vendors, store keeper for the material for the timely completion and also to liaise with Management to solve any challenges faced. Ensuring the bottle necks and challenges faced during execution is solved without any delays. Reviews or prepares drawings and technical specification for such work. Supervises any in-house project work done by technicians/contractors. Ensure that all applied products meet manufacturer and safety guidelines. Label and document each firestopping installation for inspection and quality control. Work closely with site supervisors, safety officers, and QA/QC teams to ensure compliance. Maintain tools and equipment and ensure safe storage and handling of materials.
