The Specialist’s clinical duties include but are not limited to the following:</p><br><p>o Assists the Consultant Physician in supervising the activities of junior medical staff, and jointly assumes responsibility for the care they provide</p><br><p>o Complies with all hospital polices regarding admissions, consultations, daily patient care, surgical procedures, discharge protocols, outpatient and follow up practices</p><br><p>o Practices appropriate utilization of the organization’s resources</p><br><p>o Leads ward rounds; reassesses both inpatients and outpatients on a regular basis, in line with established best practice</p><br><p>o Accurately documents all relevant clinical information in a clear and timely fashion in accordance with established procedures</p><br><p>o Regularly reviews results of all investigations and modifies treatment as required</p><br><p>o Liaises with other medical specialties and support services for additional input as required</p><br><p>o Actively participates in multi-disciplinary meetings to help plan effective, safe and holistic care for individual patients</p><br><p>o Ensures preparation of patients for all procedures including obtaining informed consent</p><br><p>o Accepts clinically appropriate referrals from the Emergency Department, primary care, other departments, specialty clinics, walk in patients, and patients referred from other hospitals</p><br><p>o Participates in and supports the Consultant Physician in ensuring the provision of out of hours on call) coverage on a rotational basis including evenings, nights, weekends and public holidays as required</p><br><p>o Communicates clinical information to patients and the patient’s family and friends (with consent of the patient) in a timely manner</p><br><p>o Maintains a good working relationship with members of staff and promotes collaboration and a team-based approach to patient care</p><br><p>o Performs other clinical responsibilities as assigned<br> Quality & Safety Helps support quality improvement initiatives within the Division</p><br><p>Supports a culture of regular audit and encourages the use of audit results for improving clinical practice</p><br><p>Supports the reporting, investigation, and response to untoward incidents<br> Education <br> Promotes and participates in clinical research and publication</p><br><p>Promoting and assisting in the instruction, guidance and supervision of junior medical staff (required)</p><br><p>Keeps abreast of the current, relevant literature and the latest trends and technologies in the industry</p><br><p>Participates in clinical research and publication</p><br><br>Qualifications:<br><p>Qualification :- </p><br><p> Special Certificate:- </p><br><p> Required: <br> a. Tier 1: No additional experience required post board certification.<br> b. Tier 2: NLT 2 years of clinical experience post qualification in<br> internationally accredited institute.<br> UAE nationals: No additional experience required post board<br> certification<br> For UAE Nationals + Non UAE Nationals enrolled in HAAD<br> accredited residency programs: : No experience required post board<br> certification<br> C.
