<span>We are looking for a skilled Safety officer to join our team!<br> Work format: On-site (Project Office, Construction Site) Responsibilities: Implement HSE Policy, HSE Plan, and HSE legislation and other requirements, monitor HSE performance, and HSE targets, and suggest measures for further improvement.<br> Liaise with Safety Manager and Contractors for the improvement & implementation of Corporate HSE Management ethics.<br> Monitor contractors to ensure the implementation of applicable Safety measures and best practices.<br> Review and Monitor Contractors' monthly HSE inspections/reports.<br> Conducting monthly Safety meetings, setting the target to achieve the outstanding issues, prepare / submit the minutes to all concerned for follow-up.<br> Review Emergency Preparedness and response, Permit to work system, HSE meetings, HSE statistics & records of the contractors according to Company requirements.<br> Review Incident/Accident investigation reports from contractors, report & communicating the learning points, and monitor the immediate action and follow-up actions to minimise/prevent re-occurrence.<br> Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.<br> Competitive salary; Official UAE employment status; Comprehensive medical insurance coverage; Working schedule 6 days per week from Monday to Saturday and Sunday is off.<br> Minimum Diploma or B.<br>Sc. or equivalent degree in environmental/loss prevention or any relevant engineering disciplines from an accredited university.<br> With recognised Health and Safety education, SARS card (training in UAE will be a plus) or NEBOSH/IOSH certificates.<br> Trakhees card holder or desire to get it.<br> At least 3+ years of construction supervision experience working as a Safety Officer.<br> Recent experience in construction supervision.<br> Preferably with experience the in UAE and with a driving license is an advantage.<br></span> </div>
Role Purpose Comply with local, legal and international HSE standards, rules and regulations; implement HSE Management Systems at site. Key Accountabilities Ensure compliance with local legal and contract requirements, Project HSE rules and regulations and polices regarding HSE are regularly communicated clearly to all employees. Carry out regular daily inspections on the above requirements and monitor high risk activities to ensure full compliance. Ensure risk assessments and permits to work system are implemented and followed by all site personnel. Monitor and guide workforce and sub-contractors on waste management requirements including segregation at source and reduce reuse and recycling of waste. Implement and maintain scaffold tag system. Carry out HSE engagements with the workforce on their behalf, recording in the online system Inspect and record condition of all fire equipment, plant, and equipment Provide, with the operations team, safe access, housekeeping, and proper safety signage. Enforce the use of PPE and ensure equipment are maintained in good condition. Ensure that all established HSE policies are administered and enforced in all areas. Report all violations Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge & Skills 3+ years’ experience of relevant working experience (preferred in well-established contracting companies in GCC) Basic safety qualification. Ability to work in all outside weather and site conditions, including shift work within a manual/workshop environment. Knowledge of HSE standards, Operational hazards, and controls, International HSE standards. Ability to influence employees for the implementation of HSE tools. Ability to accept direction and complete work independently, demonstrating confidence and conviction with the ability to intervene at all times. A self-starter with a high degree of initiative. Ability to carry out risk assessments and provide improvement recommendations.
