Duties include:</li></ul><ol><li>Assists in coordinating the preparation of the departmental annual budget</li><li>Assists in monitoring and controlling departmental costs on an ongoing basis to ensure performance against budget</li><li>Assists in the preparation of the hotel strategic plan, goals program, and Marketing Departmental Budget</li></ol><p><strong>Guest Service Responsibilities</strong></p><br><ul><li>Ensure media or VIPs stays and reviews are communicated to other departments, and all special requirements are noted and met.</li></ul><p><strong>Marketing & Communications Responsibilities</strong></p><br><ul><li>To assist the Marketing Manager in developing and implementing effective PR and advertising strategies.</li><li>To liaise with appointed advertising agency or in-house graphic designer with design and layout coordination and production of stationery, collateral, ads, brochures and graphics.</li><li>To support the Marketing Manager in organizing and conducting photo shoots.</li><li>To track and maintain information about competitors’ marketing and communication activities in UAE market (promotions, offer, articles, advertising, collateral) and to develop and update a filing system for all information.</li><li>To track and maintain information on Food & Beverage trends and competitors’ activities.</li><li>Act as the liaison between the hotel and the appointed agencies to generate awareness, develop press releases, news releases and photo captions for the hotel according to the marketing objectives.</li><li>To assist the Marketing Manager in creating property press kits, press releases and creative communication of newsworthy items with the PR agency.</li><li>Regular update of the press kits.</li><li>To develop and maintain active contacts with the press and key overseas media.</li><li>To build a database of key media contacts, opinion makers and local VIPs.</li><li>To assist the Marketing Manager to ensure adequate targeted publicity and coverage of the hotel’s positioning, promotional programs, corporate image building and other activities.</li><li>To assist the Marketing Manager in developing sales promotions with external partners such as embassies, organizations, credit card companies, banks, department stores, airlines, etc.</li><li>To ensure the hotel’s web pages and OTA pages are up to date and advice on keeping site dynamic for Internet related exposure and advertising.</li><li>To ensure the correct policy and brand standards are followed by the hotel in all marketing collateral, advertising and E-Commerce.</li></ul><p><strong>Other Duties: </strong></p><br><ul><li>To maintain good relationships with their colleagues and all other departments.</li><li>To report to duty punctually always wearing the correct uniform/attire and nametag.</li><li>To maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene and adhere to the hotel and department appearance standards.</li><li>To provide friendly, courteous and professional service always.</li><li>To ensure that the correct brand standards and methods of service are maintained as stated in the Brand Standards.</li><li>To respond to any changes in the department as dictated by the needs of the industry, brand or hotel.</li><li>To be flexible and to carry out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities within the job capability as assigned, including redeployment to alternative departments/areas if required, to meet business demands and guest service needs.</li><li>To attend training and meetings as and when required.</li><li>To assess situations and to be able to react accordingly through analysis and perspective.</li></ul><br>Qualifications<br><br><ul><li>Minimum 2 years’ experience in the marketing, digital or related professional area.</li><li>Strong luxury hotel background is preferred.</li><li>Fluency in English, written and spoken.
