Key Responsibilities

Job Objective<br><br>To provide effective instruction and assessment to Diploma level courses and to maintain HCT laboratories and workshops. The scope of work includes lecture delivery, the installation, demonstration, maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment and facilities. This is a combined instruction and hands-on role which will have the instructor deliver lectures and work closely with the faculty and students in laboratories and workshops. In addition to the delivery of instructions and assessments, the Engineering Instructor set up the laboratory in preparation for experiments and maintain supplies and documentation.<br><br>Strategic Role<br><br> Analyze and comprehend operational organizational goals and strategies and how they relate to own function Generate ideas which contribute to the development of functional goals. Develop and utilize various educational technology resources to ensure that effective and innovative instruction methodologies are employed. Assist in the development of labs, operational condition and maintenance of teaching equipment Support Faculty and students in using machines, tools and equipment within the laboratory Support Faculty and students in resourcing and implementation phase of student projects, as required Receive, installs and maintains laboratory equipment and supplies Maintain a schedule of preventative maintenance for all equipment and keeps adequate manuals and maintenance logs for equipment and parts. Provide teaching assistance to Engineering Technology Faculty during workshop & laboratory sessions Serve as a student advisor as assigned. Perform teaching duties as required Demonstrate the use of machines, tools and equipment within the lab Maintain consumable materials store and ensures adequate inventory levels for supplies Observe and reinforce safety and housekeeping procedures and protocol within the laboratory. Contribute to the development of the HCT by observing and implementing college and system-wide policies and procedures, and by participating in extra-curricular activities and community events. Travel to other HCT colleges to attend meetings, workshops and conferences as required. Develop an awareness and respect for the customs and cultures of HCT students and employees. This role requires strong t Key Responsibilities<br><br>Sales & Business Development Develop and execute sales strategies for surface wellhead equipment (casing heads, tubing heads, christmas trees) and API 6A valves (gate, check, plug valves). Identify new business opportunities with OEMs, operators, and drilling contractors. Deliver technical sales presentations and product demonstrations. Build and maintain strong client relationships as the primary technical and commercial contact. Technical Estimation Analyze RFQs, specifications, and technical drawings to define scope of work. Prepare accurate cost estimates covering materials, CNC machining, welding, coating (thermal spray, chrome plating), testing (hydrostatic pressure), and labor. Ensure compliance with API Spec 6A and customer-specific requirements. Compile competitive technical and commercial proposals showcasing company capabilities. Engineering & Support Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and QC teams to ensure feasibility and accuracy. Provide post-sales technical support and resolve client queries. Stay updated on market trends, competitor activities, and advancements in wellhead technology. HSE Compliance Promote a strong safety culture and conduct hazard identification & risk assessments. Ensure adherence to QHSE objectives and IMS management system. Report and investigate incidents, participate in emergency response programs.<br>Required Qualifications & Skills<br><br>Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Petroleum, or Industrial Engineering. Experience: Minimum 5+ years in sales, estimation, or application engineering within Oil & Gas. Technical Expertise:Strong knowledge of surface wellhead systems and components (hangers, connectors, block valves). In-depth understanding of API Specification 6A (pressure ratings, material classes, temperature ratings, PSLs). Familiarity with manufacturing/reconditioning processes: CNC machining, welding, NDT, pressure testing. Commercial Skills: Proven track record in cost estimation, bid preparation, and contract negotiation. Soft Skills: Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Self-starter, able to work independently and in teams. Travel: Willingness to travel regionally and internationally for client meetings and sales support Skills: sales,manufacturing,gas,oil
