The Power Generation Engineer is responsible for assisting the Section Head with matters pertaining to electricity generation and ensuring licensees adhere to the technical requirements of their standards. The Power Generation Engineer is responsible for assisting the Section Head with matters pertaining to electricity generation and ensuring licensees adhere to the technical requirements of their standards. In addition, the Power Generation Engineer is in charge of monitoring and reviewing all regulatory submissions regarding electricity generation, analyzing and reporting on electricity production statistics and performance, and conducting site visits and audits to ensure regulatory compliance.<br>Key Responsibilities:Review of the water demand forecast for week 7 and its revisions Examine the water statement's future capacity and expansion. Review and improve IWPP quarterly reports. Organizes and conducts IWPP site visits and audits Support in the investigation on compliance failures, generation issue and production related incidents Liaises with licensees on non-compliance issues. Maintain, upgrade, and all data and databases related to electricity generation such as the Production Data Submission and Reporting System and provide relevant statistics. Develop and maintain systems that allow the DoE to compare engineering and process performance. Examine the data and information provided by licensees on electricity generation and provide relevant updates to DoE management. Provide technical advice and recommendation on power/desalination issues. Perform any other duties as assigned by the DoE. Examine and advise on the development of technical standards, regulations, and measures Develop methodologies for assessing relevant regulatory submissions for compliance purposes. The District Cooling Engineer is in charge of assisting in the further development, maintenance, and updating of regulations, codes of operations, and standards for district cooling activities in the energy sector.<br>Furthermore, the District Cooling Engineer is responsible for thoroughly understanding all technical design and operational aspects related to the operation of DC plants to support the regulatory framework, as well as conducting technical assessments and site visits to ensure compliance with the regulatory framework.<br>Key Responsibilities:Monitor the performance and development of the district cooling transmission and distribution codes. Represent the DoE at appropriate forums, as and when required. Provide technical advice and recommendation on a wide range of district cooling related matters. Review all district cooling aspects of the sector planning statement of production, transmission, and distribution companies. Monitor key performance indicators and management reporting structure for district cooling production, transmission, and distribution. Conduct audits and site assessments to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and technical standards Participate in discussions with the Department of Health, Safety, and Environment at the Department of Energy about health, safety, and environmental issues relating to the license. Assist with the review of the annual performance report for district cooling production companies, including recommendations for optimizing the network performance of the company.
