This includes ensuring compliance with all relevant codes, standards, and contract specifications.<br>We envisage success in this role to include;Overseeing the design, coordination, and implementation of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems for construction projects. Ensuring compliance with all applicable local codes, standards, regulations, and project specifications in the country where the project is located. Reviewing and approving MEP shop drawings, material submittals, and technical documents submitted by contractors and subcontractors to ensure compliance with project requirements and quality standards. Conducting regular site inspections to monitor the progress of MEP works and ensuring adherence to approved drawings, specifications, project schedules, and safety standards. Inspecting and testing MEP installations at various stages of construction to verify functionality, quality, and compliance with design intent. Investigating and resolving MEP-related issues, clashes, or defects arising during construction, while coordinating with contractors, consultants, and other stakeholders to implement corrective actions. Preparing and maintaining detailed records of MEP inspections, testing results, approvals, and non-conformance reports for quality assurance and project documentation purposes. Ensuring all MEP activities on site are being executed safely by implementing and enforcing safety procedures, conducting safety inspections, and addressing potential hazards promptly. This is a senior leadership role for an events professional who combines strong operational expertise, creativity, commercial awareness and people leadership.<br>The successful candidate will lead major projects from concept to completion, oversee and support the events team, manage key client relationships and contribute to the overall performance and growth of the events department.<br>Key Responsibilities Lead the planning and delivery of corporate events, meetings, conferences, congresses and incentive programs, locally and internationally. Take full ownership of major projects from client brief, concept and proposal development through planning, execution and final reconciliation. Develop creative event ideas, proposals, presentations and programs that respond to client objectives and budgets. Oversee the wider events portfolio, ensuring projects are properly planned, resourced and delivered according to company standards. Manage and support Event Managers and Executives, including workload allocation, coaching, performance guidance and quality control. Act as a senior point of contact for key clients, building strong relationships and ensuring high levels of client satisfaction and retention. Oversee project budgets, costing, pricing and profitability, ensuring strong financial and commercial control across assigned projects. Review proposals, budgets and project plans prepared by team members and provide guidance and approvals where required. Support the Events Director in the planning, management and overall performance of the events department, and assume leadership responsibilities in their absence. Monitor team capacity, project pipelines, deadlines and operational priorities and proactively address potential risks or resource gaps. Lead supplier sourcing and negotiations with hotels, venues, DMCs, production companies, AV suppliers and other event partners, ensuring competitive pricing and service quality. Oversee key operational areas including production, accommodation, transportation, registration, delegate management and on-site logistics. Lead on-site operations for major events and provide senior-level support in resolving operational challenges and last-minute changes. Drive business development and account growth, identifying opportunities within existing accounts and contributing to pitches and new business proposals. Participate in client presentations, tenders and RFPs and contribute to the development of commercially competitive solutions. Develop and maintain strong relationships with key industry partners and continuously identify new destinations, venues, suppliers and event solutions. Establish and maintain high standards, processes and best practices across the events team to ensure consistency, efficiency and service excellence. Provide management with regular updates on project status, departmental performance, commercial opportunities, risks and operational challenges.<br>Requirements Minimum 15 years of solid experience in the events/MICE industry, including experience in a senior event management or leadership position, holding the same position of Associate Events Director or similar for at least 2 years. Extensive experience managing corporate meetings, conferences, congresses, incentive programs and complex international events. Proven UAE MICE experience is mandatory. Fluency in English verbal and writing Proven experience leading teams and overseeing multiple projects simultaneously. Strong commercial understanding, including budgeting, costing, pricing, profitability and supplier negotiation. Excellent client management skills with the confidence to deal with senior-level stakeholders. Strong leadership and decision-making skills with the ability to guide teams and take ownership when challenges arise. Creative mindset with the ability to translate client briefs into engaging event concepts and experiences. Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is mandatory. Excellent organizational, communication and presentation skills. Strong international destination and supplier knowledge. Experience with pharmaceutical and healthcare events is a must. Flexibility to travel internationally as required.

Between 4pm-6pm Format: In-person We are looking for an exceptional Science & Engineering Tutor / Mentor to work with our 5-year-old son, who has a strong natural curiosity about how things work and is particularly fascinated by science, robotics, engineering, machines and building things. This is not a traditional tutoring role. We are looking for someone who can spark his curiosity, introduce him to the world of science and engineering, and turn his questions and ideas into hands-on projects. He is fascinated by the idea of building a submarine. We would love for this to become his first engineering project; not for the tutor to build it for him, but for the tutor to teach and guide him through the process of designing and building a simple, child-friendly model/toy submarine himself.<br>What we are looking for Someone who can introduce a young child to a broad range of STEM concepts through play, experimentation, building and real-world projects. The ideal tutor would be able to explore topics such as:Physics; especially buoyancy, floating/sinking, pressure, forces and motion Engineering and mechanical principles Robotics and simple machines Electronics and basic circuits Materials and how different materials behave Chemistry and simple, safe experiments Biology and the natural sciences Space, oceans and exploration Problem-solving, design thinking and experimentation The emphasis should be on learning by doing rather than worksheets or memorisation. The first project: Build a submarine We would love the tutor to take his idea seriously and turn it into a genuine mini engineering challenge. For example, the tutor could guide him through questions such as:Why does a submarine float? Why does it sink? How can we make it come back up? What makes it move? How can we control it? What materials should we use? Together, they could research, design, experiment, build, test, fail, modify and eventually create a simple working model. The goal isn't to produce a perfect submarine; the goal is for him to experience the engineering process himself. From there, we would love the tutor to develop a series of projects based on his interests and gradually introduce increasingly sophisticated concepts. The person we're looking for You might be:An engineer, scientist, robotics specialist, STEM educator or maker A university student or graduate in engineering/science with excellent experience working with young children A teacher who specialises in hands-on STEM education Someone with experience in robotics clubs, makerspaces, LEGO robotics, Arduino, simple electronics or engineering projects Or simply an exceptionally curious person with a strong STEM background and a talent for inspiring children Formal teaching qualifications are a plus, but they are not the most important thing. What matters most is that you genuinely enjoy working with young children and can make complex ideas fascinating and accessible to a 5-year-old.
