We are looking for a Backend Engineer – Node.js / Type Script to own server-side application logic, REST APIs, and the relational data layer for product services.<br>The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience with Type Script, Node.js, Express, and Postgre SQL, along with practical experience using Drizzle ORM or Prisma. You will be responsible for building scalable APIs, designing efficient database structures, optimizing queries, and implementing secure backend services.<br>You will also have the opportunity to evaluate and pilot Bun as a runtime for latency-sensitive services.<br>Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain scalable REST APIs using Type Script, Node.js, and Express. Design relational data models in Postgre SQL and manage database schema migrations using Drizzle ORM or Prisma. Own database performance, indexing strategies, query optimization, and data integrity for assigned services. Implement authentication, authorization, request validation, and core business logic. Build reliable and maintainable backend services following clean coding and API design practices. Evaluate and pilot Bun as an alternative runtime for latency-sensitive services. Write and maintain integration tests against Postgre SQL. Troubleshoot backend performance, reliability, and production issues. Collaborate with frontend engineers, product teams, and other stakeholders to deliver end-to-end product functionality. Contribute to technical design decisions, code reviews, and engineering best practices.<br>Required Skills & Experience Strong hands-on experience with Type Script and Node.js. Solid understanding of Java Script/Node.js asynchronous programming and event loop behavior. Production experience building and maintaining REST APIs using Express.js. Superior customer service, teambuilding, and conflict resolution skills.
