Join us.</p><br><br>Job Description<br><p>• Inspect and verify all <strong>construction materials</strong> delivered to site to ensure compliance with <strong>RTA specifications, approved material submittals, and contract requirements</strong>.<br>
• Check <strong>material source approvals, delivery notes, batch certificates, and test reports</strong> prior to acceptance and use at site.<br>
• Carry out <strong>sampling and witnessing of laboratory and field tests</strong> for soil, aggregates, concrete, asphalt, steel, and other civil materials as per approved ITPs.<br>
• Ensure materials used for <strong>roadworks, bridges, culverts, drainage, and utility works</strong> conform to approved specifications and drawings.<br>
• Monitor <strong>storage, handling, and protection of materials</strong> to prevent contamination, segregation, or damage.<br>
• Verify compliance with <strong>RTA-approved suppliers, manufacturers, and testing laboratories</strong>.<br>
• Coordinate with the <strong>Material Engineer and Site Engineer</strong> regarding testing schedules, approvals, and material-related issues.<br>
• Inspect <strong>asphalt paving, concrete works, earthworks, and backfilling</strong> to ensure correct materials and workmanship are used.<br>
• Review and submit <strong>Work Inspection Requests (WIRs)</strong> related to materials and civil works.<br>
• Maintain accurate <strong>inspection records, test results, and material logs</strong> for QA/QC and as-built documentation.<br>
• Identify non-conforming materials, raise <strong>NCRs and site observations</strong>, and follow up on corrective actions.<br>
• Ensure compliance with <strong>HSE requirements</strong>, especially during material handling, sampling, and testing activities.<br>
• Monitor material usage and quantities to avoid <strong>wastage, misuse, or deviation from approved specifications</strong>.<br>
• Assist in <strong>RTA inspections and audits</strong>, providing required documentation and site support.<br>

We are currently looking for a Modern Architectural and Urban Heritage Conservation Unit Head to join the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi. <br>The Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi) drives the sustainable growth of Abu Dhabi’s culture and tourism sectors. Through its work in cultural heritage, museums, historic environments, creative industries, and destination development, DCT Abu Dhabi plays a central role in preserving the emirate’s cultural identity while positioning Abu Dhabi as a leading global destination for culture and tourism. <br>Role Purpose The Head of the Modern Architectural and Urban Heritage Conservation Unit provides strategic, technical, and managerial leadership for the conservation, restoration, and sustainable management of modern architectural and urban heritage.
