<section><p class="heading jdMain">Job Description</p><p class="heading">Roles &amp; Responsibilities</p><div class="paragraph"><ul><li>Manage the comprehensive care of hospitalized general surgery patients, from admission to discharge, ensuring continuity of care and optimal patient outcomes.</li><li>Perform initial patient evaluations, including history and physical examinations, diagnostic test ordering and interpretation, and formulate treatment plans.</li><li>Provide surgical consultations for non-surgical hospital patients, offering expert opinions and recommendations for surgical interventions when necessary.</li><li>Collaborate with surgical specialists and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans, ensuring a multidisciplinary approach.</li></ul></div></section><section><p class="heading">Desired Candidate Profile</p><p class="paragraph"></p><ul><li><p>Possess a Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school.</p></li><li><p>Completion of a residency program in General Surgery, board certification or board eligibility in General Surgery is required.</p></li><li><p>Hold a valid medical license and be eligible for licensure in the state where the position is located.</p></li><li><p>Minimum of 2 years of experience as a practicing General Surgeon, demonstrating proficiency in a wide range of surgical procedures.</p></li><li><p>Specialist DHA License is required.
