As part of a multi-grant research programme, we have a Postdoctoral Research Fellow position available in Genomic Epidemiology and Pathogen Genomics.<br>The successful candidate will lead large-scale genomic epidemiology analyses of bacterial and viral pathogens, applying whole-genome sequencing and genomic surveillance approaches to investigate pathogen evolution, transmission dynamics, and antimicrobial resistance where applicable. The role will include comparative genomics, phylogenetics, outbreak investigation, and the tracking of clinically important bacterial lineages, viral variants, and antimicrobial resistance plasmids across human, animal, food, and environmental (One Health) settings.
