Role & Responsibilities Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance of construction equipment and machinery. Inspect equipment to identify mechanical faults, wear, damage and potential breakdowns. Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical problems in heavy equipment and diesel-powered machinery. Perform servicing, repair, dismantling and reassembly of engines and mechanical components. Carry out routine maintenance and servicing of diesel engines, generators, pumps and construction equipment. Inspect and maintain mechanical components including transmissions, gearboxes, drive systems, cooling systems and braking systems. Assist with major repairs, engine overhauls and equipment refurbishment. Carry out equipment inspections before and after rental deployment. Ensure machinery is mechanically fit, safe and ready for delivery to customer sites. Respond to equipment breakdowns and carry out on-site troubleshooting and repairs when required.
