<h2 class="h5">Job description</h2> <div class="t-break" data-jb-field="description"> <p>The Mubadala Arabian Center for Climate and Environmental Sciences (Mubadala ACCESS) at New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD) invites applications for a Post-Doctoral Associate to join an exciting multidisciplinary research program investigating the environmental and ecological drivers of productive fishing grounds in the United Arab Emirates.</p><br><br> <p>Working in collaboration with Emirates Nature–WWF and government partners, the successful candidate will lead the spatial ecology, habitat mapping, and environmental data integration components of a major applied research initiative that will directly inform fisheries management, marine conservation, and habitat restoration across the UAE.</p><br><br> <p>The successful candidate will lead the spatial ecology and habitat mapping components of the project by integrating environmental monitoring data, fisheries information, habitat datasets, and field observations to identify the ecological drivers of productive fishing grounds. Responsibilities include developing habitat characterization workflows using combinations of bathymetric datasets, side-scan sonar, remotely sensed imagery, GIS, and other spatial datasets to produce habitat maps, ecological indicators, habitat suitability assessments, and spatial decision-support products.</p><br><br> <p>The Post-Doctoral Associate will collaborate closely with project staff to design field campaigns, develop sampling strategies, participate in marine field surveys, and ensure the effective integration of environmental, biological, and spatial datasets. In this role, you will lead the discovery, elicitation, and translation of complex commercial banking and lending requirements into robust Pega platform solutions. You will work closely with business stakeholders, product owners, and Pega architects to deliver seamless, automated workflows that transform our commercial lending lifecycle. Key Responsibilities Requirement Elicitation &amp; Analysis: Lead workshops with Commercial Banking stakeholders to capture complex lending workflows, credit structuring, risk approvals, and onboarding requirements. Pega Solution Mapping: Translate business needs into Pega-specific artifacts, including Direct Capture of Objectives (DCO), case types, stages, steps, and data models. Commercial Lending Transformation: Design and optimize end-to-end user journeys for corporate and commercial lending, ensuring regulatory compliance and operational efficiency. Agile Collaboration: Author and maintain a groomed product backlog in Jira. Act as the primary liaison between business units and the IT team to ensure technical designs align perfectly with business intent.</p></div></section><section><p class="heading">Desired Candidate Profile</p><p class="paragraph"></p><p>Domain &amp; Technical Expertise (Must-Haves)</p><ul><li><p>Commercial Banking: Deep understanding of commercial banking operations, corporate client profiles, and institutional financial workflows.</p></li><li><p>End-to-End Lending Experience: Strong grasp of the commercial lending lifecycle, including loan origination systems (LOS), credit risk assessment, collateral management, underwriting, and loan servicing.</p></li></ul><p>Pega Platform Proficiency: Proven experience as a BA on Pega-based implementations (Pega 8.x preferred).
