<b>Job Description</b>Overview<p>The Senior Civil / Structural Design Engineer shall be responsible for providing civil and structural engineering design, analysis, technical review, coordination, and construction support for EPC of industrial, infrastructure, and district cooling plants. The role will ensure that all civil and structural deliverables are safe, practical, cost-effective, technically sound, and compliant with applicable project specifications, international codes, authority requirements, and client expectations from concept design through construction and handover.</p><br>Your role<ul><li>Carry out structural analysis, design, and detailing of reinforced concrete, precast concrete, and be specialized in structural steel along with RCC structures and Pre-cast element design for industrial buildings, district cooling plants, utility facilities, and related infrastructure projects.</li><li>Prepare and review civil and structural designs in accordance with project specifications, client requirements, authority regulations, and applicable international codes and standards, including Dubai Municipality requirements, SBC, IBC, ACI, ASCE, AISC, UBC, and other relevant standards.</li><li>Evaluate structural systems for the applicable design loads and service conditions including loads due to wind, seismic, vibration, equipment, thermal, hydrostatic etc</li><li>Develop structural designs for pipe supports, pipe racks, sleepers, platforms, steel frames, equipment supports, steel-to-steel connections, and steel-to-concrete connections.</li><li>Perform static and dynamic analysis and design of equipment foundations for static and rotating equipment, including foundations for pumps, chillers, FRP / GLS water tanks etc.</li><li>Prepare design calculations and engineering deliverables for buildings, equipment foundations, valve chambers, concrete water tanks, retaining structures, boundary walls, fencing, gates, site security structures, and other related civil works.</li><li>Coordinate civil site development works civil and structural design basis documents, architectural design basis documents, technical specifications, scope documents, design calculations, sketches, IFC drawings, and other project calculation notes, IFC drawings, and material submittals.</li><li>Prepare scopes of work for specialist subcontractors and service providers, including geotechnical investigation, topographical survey, and related civil engineering services.</li><li>Review and interpret geotechnical reports, soil investigation results, topographical survey information, and test results, and incorporate relevant findings into the civil and structural design.</li><li>Ensure required inspections and tests are carried out in accordance with project specifications, inspection and test plans, quality procedures, and approval workflows.</li><li>Coordinate with architects, mechanical engineers, electrical engineers, project managers, construction teams, consultants, clients, subcontractors, local We are hiring a hands-on IT Engineering Manager to own the Enterprise Applications domain — the devices, collaboration tools, and identity/access that talabat employees rely on every day — and to lead the small engineering team behind it, coordinating across our markets.</p><br><br><p>This is a working manager role: roughly 70–80% technical execution and standard-setting, and 20–30% people and delivery leadership. You will operate with a high degree of autonomy, staying close to the work while building the automation, documentation, and standards that let the function scale consistently across markets. It is a build role — you set the technical bar by doing, then make that excellence repeatable so it outlives any one person.</p><br><br><p>Your domain sits alongside other IT engineering domains, and your success depends as much on clean collaboration across those boundaries as on the depth of your own work. You will define and defend clear ownership of your systems while partnering openly with adjacent teams who depend on them.
