Job Overview / Summary
<ul>
<li>The Mechanical & Rotating QC Inspector is responsible for monitoring, supervising, and controlling all Quality Control activities related to mechanical static and rotating equipment within the Project </li>
<li>He ensures that all contractual, technical, and quality requirements are properly implemented by the Contractor and Subcontractors during Construction, Pre-commissioning, and Commissioning phases.</li>
<li>The position reports directly to the Site QC Superintendent and works closely with Construction, Commissioning, QC disciplines, Vendors, and Contractor/Subcontractor teams.</li>
</ul>
Experience Requirements
<ul>
<li><strong>Total Experience Required:</strong> Minimum of 10 years of experience in Mechanical & Rotating QC on major Oil & Gas EPC projects.</li>
<li><strong>Relevant Experience Required:</strong> Strong experience with rotating equipment installation, alignment, and commissioning.</li>
<li><strong>Industry-Specific Experience:</strong> Experience on CPF, refinery, or large industrial facilities is strongly preferred.</li>

<p><strong>Daily Inspection & Reporting:</strong></p><br>
<ul>
<li>Monitor and record all rotating equipment activities on a daily basis.</li>
<li>Conduct routine inspections in construction areas, equipment installation zones, and pre-commissioning areas.</li>
<li>Perform specific inspections on rotating machinery and associated installation activities.</li>
<li>Provide daily updates and weekly reporting directly to the CPF2 Site QC Superintendent, including inspection progress, key findings, non-conformities, recurring defects, and contractor performance indicators.</li>
<li>Actively contribute to daily/weekly QC coordination meetings and ensure the QC Superintendent receives all relevant data for consolidated site reporting.</li>
<li>Maintain documentation such as ITP follow-ups, NCR/CAR tracking, and Mechanical Completion records for full visibility.</li>
</ul>

<p><strong>Rotating Equipment Installation & Inspection:</strong></p><br>
<ul>
<li>Inspect rotating equipment including pumps, compressors, turbines, electric motors, blowers, and fans.</li>
<li>Verify foundations, grout, anchor bolts, leveling, and mounting conditions for rotating equipment.</li>
<li>Conduct checks on alignment, coupling installation, run-out, and shaft rotation.</li>
<li>Verify lubrication systems, mechanical seals, and auxiliary systems.</li>
<li>Review/validate inspection reports, punch lists, and test results including vibration analysis, performance metrics, and run-in results.</li>
<li>Ensure compliance with vendor documentation, project specifications, and industry standards.</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li>
<p><strong>Pre-Commissioning & Commissioning:</strong></p><br>
<ul>
<li>Witness and verify rotating equipment pre-commissioning activities such as oil flushing, lubrication system checks, motor solo-runs, direction of rotation, and alignment verification.</li>
<li>Participate in commissioning tests including vibration analysis, performance testing, and functional checks.</li>
<li>Ensure readiness of rotating equipment for handover to Commissioning teams.</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li>
<p><strong>Documentation & Compliance:</strong></p><br>
<ul>
<li>Review/comment on Contractors’ and Suppliers’ ITPs, Method Statements, and procedures.</li>
<li>Ensure proper implementation of approved drawings, QC plans, surveillance plans, and ITPs.</li>
<li>Verify vendor documentation, equipment files, and material certificates.</li>
<li>Issue Quality Records, NCRs, and CARs where necessary.</li>
<li>Ensure traceability of inspections/tests and maintain mechanical completion documentation.</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li>
<p><strong>Welding, NDT & Interfaces:</strong></p><br>
<ul>
<li>Coordinate with QC Welding, NDT, Piping, and Structural teams for interface inspections.</li>
<li>Verify NDT results related to rotating equipment supports, baseplates, and connected piping.</li>
<li>Ensure correct implementation of flange alignment and piping connection tolerances.</li>
</ul>

<li>
<p><strong>Non-Conformities & Corrective Actions:</strong></p><br>
<ul>
<li>Identify/report non-conformities or deviations promptly.</li>
<li>Ensure corrective actions are implemented and verified.</li>
<li>Escalate critical anomalies to the QC Superintendent immediately.</li>
</ul>

<li>
<p><strong>Coordination & Interface:</strong></p><br>
<ul>
<li>Participate in daily/weekly construction and QC coordination meetings.</li>
<li>Interface with Construction, Commissioning, Engineering, Vendors, and Contractor QC teams.</li>
<li>Support technical clarifications and design queries with Engineering when required.</li>
<li>Participate in audits including Construction, HSE, QC, and site visits.</li>
<li>Ensure confidentiality of all documentation under responsibility.</li>

<p><strong>Technical & Domain Skills:</strong></p><br>

<li>Solid knowledge of rotating equipment including pumps, compressors, turbines, motors, fans.</li>
<li>Strong understanding of mechanical installation requirements such as alignment, foundations, and couplings.</li>
<li>Ability to interpret standards, codes, specifications, and technical drawings.</li>
<li>Proficient in usage of measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and laser alignment tools.</li>
<li>Knowledge of vibration analysis and performance testing.</li>
<li>Understanding of NCR, deviation, and concession processes.</li>
<li>Familiarity with digital QC systems (Aconex, SharePoint, SmartPlant, or equivalent) is a plus.</li>

<h4>What you will do</h4>

<li>Ensure critical systems, specifically Front Office Property Management System, Call Accounting, HSIA, PABX and Food & Beverage Point of Sales computer systems are available twenty-four (24) hours per day.</li>

<h4>What you will bring</h4>
