Job Description<br><br>Job Description<br><br>NOTE: Please ONLY apply if you have sufficient experience and skills required as per job description below. <br><br>Job Summary<br><br>As an Applications Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting the full lifecycle of Quick Opening Closures (QOC) Product line, including Application engineering, proposal preparation & Technical support. You will work closely with Sales, Engineering, Operations, and Customers to provide technical solutions, product recommendations, and timely quotations.<br><br>The role involves reviewing customer requirements, performing product selection, Sales support, and delivering technical guidance for Customers (both Internal & External).<br><br>Roles & Responsibilities<br><br>Review customer inquiries and technical specifications related to Quick Opening Closures (QOC) Product line. Prepare timely, accurate, and high-quality techno-commercial proposals using internal tools and processes. Perform QOC ID/WALL THICKNESS Calculations, ensuring compliance with project and industry requirements (e.g., ASME SEC VIII DIV 1, DIV 2, ASME B31.8, ASME B31.4). Manage proposals through the full bid cycle, including maintaining quote registers and tracking progress in CRM. Coordinate with internal departments and external suppliers to ensure on-time and compliant quotations. Establish and maintain strong working relationships with Sales, Engineering, Operations, and other internal stakeholders. Review and interpret contractual requirements to ensure alignment with customer specifications and company policies. Support order execution by ensuring proper documentation, technical clarity, and customer communication. Identify and mitigate risks throughout proposal and order stages. Travel to customer sites, vendor locations, and manufacturing facilities when required. Promote and adhere to Safety, Ethics, and Compliance standards.<br><br>Behavioral Skills/Competencies & Experience Required<br><br>Strong technical understanding of pressure-containing equipment, preferably Quick Opening Closures, pressure vessels, or pipeline equipment. Knowledge of relevant standards such as ASME Section VIII, ASME B 31.4, 31.8, ASTM B16.5, B16.34, ASTM MATERIAL GRADES. Experience in technical proposal preparation and customer interaction. Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and datasheets. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Proficiency in MS Office, CRM. <br><br>Educational Qualification And Experience Required<br><br>5–8 years of experience in application engineering, proposals, or technical sales support. Prior experience with QOC, pressure vessels, Scrapper traps. Experience working with MENA region customers/end users. Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/ Metallurgy engineering Willingness to travel (regional and international). <p><b>Overview of the Role:</b></p><p>To provide support to the Business and Project Management teams (depending on nature and size of project) and is responsible in preparing, monitoring, updating, and revising the construction schedule as necessary. Monitors the accomplishments at site and analyses its effect on the project schedule.</p><p>Functionally reporting to Planning Manager/Snr Planning Manager.</p><p> </p><p><b>What you will do?</b></p><ul><li>Thorough analysis of tender information and preparation of tender programmes</li><li>Preparation of Baseline / Contract programmes inclusive of Procurement and Engineering activities (resource loaded programmes). Thereafter, generate Procurement and Engineering schedules and communicate to respective departments. </li><li>Prior Project commencement, further to Baseline Programme, generate three-week and three-month realistic look-ahead schedule.</li><li>Producing Plant List and Labour Histogram during pre and post Contract</li><li>In liaison with Planning Manager / Senior Planning Manager analyse and evaluate construction methods and techniques.</li><li>Assist Estimation Team in the preparation of Prelims</li><li>In liaison with Planning Manager and Tendering Lead prepare Project logistics plan and methods statement(s).</li><li>Identify complex construction activities and assist to Planning Manager and Tendering Lead to generate risks and opportunities register.</li><li>Monitor and assess Project progress production of weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly progress reports.</li><li>In liaison with Planning Manager, developing delay mitigation, if required, action plan and revising Baseline / Contract Programme accordingly.</li><li>Assisting Planning Manager to produce time impact analysis in case of changes to the Project scope or due to unforeseen factors.</li></ul><p><br></p> </div><h2 class="h5">Skills</h2>
