Build and maintain strong relationships with building owners, consultants, contractors, facility management companies, and key decision-makers. Conduct customer meetings and site visits to assess existing HVAC systems, equipment condition, operational challenges, and modernization requirements. Identify aging, inefficient, obsolete, or high-maintenance HVAC equipment and develop appropriate replacement and modernization opportunities. Develop value-based technical solutions focused on equipment reliability, energy efficiency, lifecycle cost reduction, sustainability, and improved building performance. Lead the complete sales process from opportunity identification and qualification through solution development, proposal submission, negotiation, and order closure. Prepare and coordinate technical and commercial proposals in collaboration with engineering, application, service, operations, and other internal teams. Develop retrofit business cases and effectively communicate the technical and commercial value of modernization solutions to customers. Identify and develop opportunities involving chiller replacements, AHU/FCU replacements, controls upgrades, pumps and piping modifications, and other HVAC modernization solutions. Develop new customer accounts while expanding business opportunities with existing customers. Work closely with consultants and contractors to influence specifications and secure modernization and retrofit projects. Monitor market trends, competitor activity, customer requirements, and emerging HVAC modernization opportunities. Maintain a healthy sales pipeline aligned with assigned business and growth targets. Participate in customer presentations, technical discussions, site surveys, and commercial negotiations. Support the development of energy-efficiency and sustainability solutions that help customers reduce energy consumption and operating costs. Ensure accurate forecasting and timely reporting of opportunities, bookings, and sales activities through Carrier’s CRM and sales management processes. Achieve assigned annual order intake, revenue, and margin targets while complying with Carrier’s Finance, Ethics, and Sales policies. Deliver the assigned fiscal-year plan by securing HVAC modernization and retrofit projects and developing sustainable, long-term customer relationships.<br><br>Basic Qualifications<br><br>To be successful in this role, you will need:<br><br>Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline. Minimum 3 years of experience in the HVAC industry, preferably in HVAC sales, aftermarket, retrofit, modernization, or project business. Strong technical understanding of HVAC systems, including chillers, AHUs, FCUs, pumps, controls, and associated mechanical systems. Good understanding of HVAC retrofit, replacement, and modernization projects. Strong commercial awareness and the ability to manage the complete sales cycle. Good level of written and spoken English. Based in Abu Dhabi, UAE. Role Summary<br><br>The Lead Planning engineer has to prepare the work programs as per the guidelines provided by the Projects Team and monitor the progress of the project against the plan to ensure its completion within the specified time frame and within allocated budgets.<br><br>Role Description<br><br> Preparing tender programmes, clause 14 programmes, resource histogram and review with Planning Manager. Coordinate information between stakeholders including Client, Suppliers and Contractors to determine and monitor the deliverables in line with programme. Support project management team to ensure project progress and generate report on all variations in conjunction with the Projects team. Accurately record progress and adjust forecasts as required. Prepare reports on progress and causes of programme/progress variations. Attend project review meeting with Consultant / Project Management representative, prepare and submit report to management as required. Also prepare progress report for all the projects based on site visits and project progress review. Accountable for preparing consolidated project cash flows, Progress S-curves, look ahead schedule, project dashboards and reports, manpower projections, mitigation strategies, and forecast schedules. Preparation of information schedules inclusive of Architects, Engineers, nominations and long lead schedules. Plan, monitor, and control the resources and cost deployed for the project considering the budget, demand, productivity, historical trend, forecast requirements, & priorities. Claim management- Issue timely delay notifications and analyse, develop, and review the delay analysis (EOT) with time and cost impact. Submit interim and detailed claims as per contract requirement. Highlight the critical risks/ issues/ opportunities associated with the project.<br><br> Candidate Requirements<br><br> Academic qualification - bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or construction management. 7 years of relevant experience in in an interior fit-out / Main contracting company. Strong proficiency in use of software - Primavera and Microsoft project and excellent command on Microsoft applications. Solid understanding of CPM, WBS, and construction planning methodologies Confident client-facing professional with strong presentation skills Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment Attention to details & in-depth knowledge of construction process & methodology Excellent communication, interpersonal skills and the ability to work successfully in a multi-cultural environment. Successful track record of working on all types of projects. e.g. Hospitality, Hotels, High End Residential, Palaces, F&B, Retail, Entertainment, Health, Education etc. Strong technical and commercial abilities. A very good knowledge of latest developments in the fit-out market. The candidate should be well-versed with the current trends and news influencing market and be able to suggest ideas to boost the Company’s industry presence and build our brand Excellent English communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work successfully in a multinational market environment.
