<ul><li><p>Trouble-shoots, repairs and maintains efficiently a wide range of electrical equipment and systems in power plant.</p></li><li><p>Attends preventive, corrective and breakdown maintenance repairs, with minimum direction and supervision, (including “on call” duties, as and when required), to restore the electrical systems back to normalcy as quickly as possible.</p></li><li><p>Assesses technically the nature of jobs allocated with clear understanding of relevant methods and procedures including associated risks. <br><ul><li>Support internal and external stakeholders on all reported technical issues relating to the Fire / Life safety portfolio.</li><li>First line response to stakeholders via, Telephone, Email or Business Applications, i.e., Teams.</li><li>Provide accurate logs of all technical interactions to enable comprehensive KPI reporting.</li><li>Report creation/generation, capture all relevant information on issues reported in the field ensuring that the information gathered is reported into the quality system for review and resolution. </li><li>Investigate and source key information from different systems/departments to ensure stakeholders expectations are met and resolved in a timely manner.</li><li>Liaise with Sales department on product application and system design development. </li><li>Deliver comprehensive training to internal and external stakeholders, in conjunction with the Training Team, ensure all training needs are met so as stakeholders are confident with product knowledge to complete tasks.</li><li>Be able to build recreations of product faults noted from stakeholders and Cause & Effect scenarios, within a laboratory environment, to help identify current product and field operation issues.</li><li>Be capable of building test “rigs’ and following technical test scripts to assist in the verification of existing and new product.</li><li>Ability to research technical data from various sources both internally and externally.</li></ul><br>Qualifications:
<br><ul><li>Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent</li><li>5+ years experience within installation, maintaining & commissioning of fire alarm and associated Life Safety systems</li></ul><br>Skills:
<br><ul><li>Some level of support function experience preferred.</li><li>Extensive knowledge of life safety systems within the regional areas supported, ideally with a proven track record demonstration within servicing and commissioning with a minimum of 5-10 years.</li><li>Demonstrate a very competent level of understanding of BS5839-pt1, BS5839-8, BS5839-9 and EN-54 as a minimum. Ensuring compliance to regulatory requirements while handling unserviceable components and associated documentations. Providing analytical support for the processes and functions to ensure highest level of performance monitoring to enable material support for fleet operations.</span></p><br><br><p><span>In this role, you will:</span></p><br><br><ul><li>Conduct physical receipt inspection of parts received from mainrtenance. Verify unserviceable label information with the physical data plate on the part and process initial receipt transaction in Ultramain.</li><li>Generate Part Inspection Tags for received unserviceable parts received and annotate all key findings to ensure compliance with regulations and guidelines.</li><li>Establish all applicable warranties and guarantees applicable to the part or fleet. Prepare paperwork to support the claim process and financial recoveries.</li><li>Segregate and quarantine all parts received for disposal processing. Ensure regulatory compliance of the process. Seek technical and financial approval for disposal prior to handing over units for mutilation to the approved service provider. For all items disposed in line with an Service Bulletin disposition, review and attached relevant information from the Engineering Order prior to processing.</li><li>Initiate TDRS and Infospace cases for components with relevant Alerts applied. This includes Configuration updates required (Install / Remove) and other parts such as Deferred Repairs, Surplus, etc.</li><li>Ensure highest standards of housekeeping are maintained throughout the Repair Process locations in line with regulatory and health and safety standards.
