Working under the supervision of a Senior Structural Engineer, this position bridges structural design concepts with production shop drawings.</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li><p><strong>Structural Modeling & Calculations</strong></p><ul><li><p>Assist in performing preliminary structural calculations for standard precast concrete members under supervision.</p></li><li><p>Run structural software models to determine bending moments, shear forces, deflection limits, and strand layouts for precast elements.</p></li><li><p>Perform basic connection design calculations, including weld plates, anchor bolts, corbels, and grouted sleeve connections.</p></li></ul></li><li><p><strong>Drafting & Detailing Support</strong></p><ul><li><p>Review preliminary shop drawings, bar bending schedules (BBS), and strand pattern drawings generated by detailers for accuracy.</p></li><li><p>Assist in modeling precast components, cast-in plates, lifting anchors, and MEP blockouts in Tekla Structures or AutoCAD.</p></li><li><p>Help compile structural calculation packages and technical submittal files for consultant review.</p></li></ul></li><li><p><strong>Factory & Production Coordination</strong></p><ul><li><p>Check production drawings against factory bed layouts and mold capabilities to identify potential casting issues.</p></li><li><p>Perform quality checks on reinforcement cages, strand tensioning setups, and embedded hardware prior to concrete placement.</p></li><li><p>Document non-conformances and assist senior engineers in drafting standard factory repair details for minor damages.</p></li></ul></li><li><p><strong>Site & Handling Assistance</strong></p><ul><li><p>Assist in calculating basic lifting loop capacities, stripping stresses, and pitch angles for safe factory handling.</p></li><li><p>Cross-check architectural and structural drawings to identify dimensions, interfaces, and site tolerance issues early.</p></li></ul></li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Desired Candidate Profile</strong></p><ul><li><p>Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field. </p></li><li><p>2–5 years relevant experience in structural design, analysis or precast/concrete construction. </p></li><li><p>Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit and structural analysis software is an advantage. </p></li><li><p>UAE/GCC precast experience mandatory. </p></li></ul>
