Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field. Microsoft certifications (PL-300 Power BI Data Analyst, or Fabric/Azure Data certifications) are a strong advantage. Financial services or regulated-industry exposure is preferred. Experience4+ years of hands-on experience building Power BI solutions, with deep expertise in DAX and Power Query. Strong data-modelling background and advanced SQL for data extraction and transformation. Proven track record of delivering executive-level dashboards and self-service analytics. Experience administering the Power BI Service, gateways, dataset refreshes, and row-level security. Prior experience in regulated, financial services, or otherwise data-sensitive environments is strongly preferred. Competencies / Skills Functional Advanced Power BI: DAX, Power Query (M), semantic modelling, and report design. Strong SQL Server and T-SQL, with query performance tuning for analytical workloads. Solid data-modelling skills: star schema, dimensional modelling, and relationships. Power BI Service administration: workspaces, apps, gateways, capacities, and RLS. Data visualisation and dashboard design best practices. Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric, Azure data services, and dataflows. Exposure to Excel, Power Automate, and the wider Microsoft data stack.
